Never buy a bike from Tretwerk!

Awful quality, unfair and deceptive sales practices - stay away from buying a bike from Tretwerk! It gets rusty within 2 weeks!!
The bike I've bought, appeared to be both of low-quality and defective. The chain as well as other parts became rusted after only two weeks of use! At the same time it started making a creakind sound as an old crap because of rust in the break system! The dynamo lighting system appeared to be defective and not working at all.
Tretwerk doesn't provide a true information on the fact that the bike chain is made of steel, which is not corrosion resistant. The chain is non-coated chain and apparently not wax/oil lubed.
The information of the product Tretwerk provide is insufficient and can be defined as deceptive advertising, as it tends to mislead and deceive customers, what affects consumers' decisions about buying the product.
The quality of the bikes from Tretwerk is so low that they are not suitable to be used outside at all! So if you need a bike to bicycle inside your house - it's a good choice.
Tretwerk doesn't follow the rules for online marketing, which says, that the seller must give all the important facts about goods or services and the information before the product is sold , including a clear description of specific conditions of use. There's no warnings against storing outside or information about special conditions as indoor storage in Tretwerks product advertising. But after the product was sold, and customer have complained about rust issues, Tretwerk tries to cover up the product failures with nonsense like that: "You expose the bike to weather and maybe salty maritime climate" and blames the customer for non-"weatherproofed" storing: "A bike has to be stored in a dry place and weatherproofed".
Tretwerk takes away your rights under consumer protection law (if the goods are faulty).
Trtetwerk rejects the fact, that in accordance with § 437 German Civil Code, if the goods have been found to be defective, the buyer has the rights to refuse a poor-quality / defective goods and withdraw from the contract or reduce the cost of goods.
Tretwerk totally rejects the customers rights, according to the § 462, to get the full refund on faulty goods or reduction in the selling price in case, if the customer, in spite of the defect, agree to keep the purchase.
Tretwerk doesn't accept, that the customers have the right to indemnification (Schadenersatz) - compensation for the costs associated with what it takes to correct the defect.
At first Tretwerks employees informed me, that "We can’t take the bike back, because you opened the box (used it?)". Then they accepted the return, but totally refuse a coverage of the transport costs to correct the defects - you have to send it "to your own costs".
Tretwerk totally rejects a full coverage of the costs related to repair and replacement of the parts, which requires professional help from a mechanic, which you cann't avoid and which they must offer, according to the low.
I strictly don't recommend Tretwerk to anyone!!
