This company is trying to scam us..we have paid for 2 tickets from Manchester to johannesburg costing £706,now they are telling us that only one ticket is available, which they have booked on our behalf at a elevated price of £600 and now they are saying that we must either wait until a week before the flight to see if the second ticket is available or pay an extra £494 to pay for an upgrade to get the second ticket now...they are also refusing to give us a refund for their incompetence...this is an absolute disgrace and this company should be shut down..

Overall pathetic experience

Overall pathetic experience. Lawrence grey put my name incorrectly even though i have given correct name in the email. Eva was assured i will get maximum support from assistance if any denial . Air canada denied my cheking . Tried calling customer service multiple time couldn’t reach. After continuously calling one of them pick up and said no one can do anything just refund is possible. And have to rebook for current price for the mistake they gave done. Most of the employees juat argues and not taking any responsibility for the mistake. Just the refund . I didn’t have enough money and my friend helped cause if the family function . Abd now asking extra mney fir booking . NEVER EVER TRUST THE EMPLOYEE ANDCTHIS AGENCY SCAM. All the employees are trained for arguing not for customers service even though the mistake was happend fron travelpod plus the names they are giving is a fake name.

I booked tickets with travelpod and…

I booked tickets with travelpod and they promised that they will be providing the dummy ticket for return as well. I chose them because of this option only because i needed a dummy ticket for my travel. I didn’t make any bargain in price or anything paid what they asked but when I paid they started asking $150 more for dummy ticket. The agent whom i got connected is David they say all good and fascinating things before you chose them and when you pay and ask for the services they just don’t revert and keep on asking for extra money. And after sometime they don’t even respond i am trying to contact them from two three days but no revert back. Please do not go with them for your travel you will be stuck and it will become your worst nightmare. I will never recommend them they just wasted my hard earned money and time.

Airline cancelled ticket booked via Travelopod

BEWARE : DONT DEAL WITH TRAVELOPOD, STAY AWAY FROM TRAVELOPOD

Airline Cancelled Ticket Booked via Travelopod
I booked an Air France ticket through Travelopod for my elderly parents traveling from Bangalore to Dallas. After successfully completing online check-in the day before departure, my parents arrived at the airport only to be blindsided with the news that the airline had arbitrarily cancelled their ticket without any prior notification or valid explanation.
Travelopod completely abandoned their responsibility and was utterly unresponsive throughout this nightmare. Their absolute negligence and incompetence destroyed our entire travel arrangement, leaving my elderly parents stranded at the airport. This is an unacceptable failure of service from both the airline and Travelopod, who clearly have zero regard for their customers or the chaos their gross mismanagement causes.

As icing on the cake, after all this chaos and distress, Travelopod had the audacity to offer me a pathetic $25 future travel credit as "compensation." Are they seriously joking? A measly $25 for stranding my elderly parents at the airport and ruining our entire trip? This insulting offer is a slap in the face and proves they have absolutely no concept of accountability or customer care.
Don't fall for their cheap ticket ads. These fraudulent low prices are nothing but bait to lure you in, only to leave you high and dry when things go wrong.
Book directly with the airline website instead. Stop gambling with third-party booking sites that vanish the moment there's an issue. When you book directly with the airline, you actually have accountability and customer service that responds. These middleman platforms like Travelopod are utterly useless when problems arise—they take your money and disappear, leaving you to deal with the disaster alone.

Overall it was a pathetic experience

Overall it was a pathetic experience. They made fake promises, and their tone was completely different before and after the payment. They asked me to take insurance, assuring me they would help in case of any cancellation, but when the real need arose, they did not help at all. It feels like fraud. They may offer $30–$40 less, but in return, they remove refunds and other benefits provided by the airlines. Do not trust them.

These guys are total scammer

These guys are total scammer, I used them to book a flight to TLV with Al Italia and the flight was cancelled, then they offer me similar flight for $980 more to go with united/lufthansa, then I needed to change and they wanted to charge me $1000 more.
So, a flight that cost around $1000 ended up around $3000. I refused to pay that much and they kept it at $2200 but going with the original flight that was cancelled that cost $1200.

Don't use them to book flights these guys are total scammers.

Misleading...?

I am upset because I was really sold on booking Air India to Delhi; the Travelpod sales rep - Damon convinced me that the new A350 was awesome -- he said "Check out the Youtube videos, it's amazing!" -- so reluctantly, I booked Air India.
However, when I went to check-in, this is not the plane that he promised. I realize that airlines can change planes -- but when looking at AI's website, they do not state that the A350 flies to Delhi.
Overall, I had a good experience with Damon, but I am really concerned about all the negative reviews here...

BEWARE Please don’t book from them even…

BEWARE Please don’t book from them even if you have to pay higher directly with airlines or other travel agency.
They fool you in all aspects.

First they charged me $200 more than what airlines was charging and when I need a slight change in the itinerary which airlines was able to do for $25 they asked for $475.

They told this the only way it will work for you and if you don’t agree we will record your message and sue you.

BEWARE don’t book any flight with them you are only inviting trouble.

Cheat

Cheat. While booking the ticket they say you can change it within 24 hours. But, when asked to change within 3 hours. They say it should be more money.
I found a better deal on google. After I booked with them the same flight.

SCAMMMMM BEWARE!!!!!

BEWARE! They pretend to be known airlines to scam people - they deceived me into believeing i was speaking to United and upcharged me for tickets [as for the the airline receipt these scammers pocketed $707] if i wouldn't have an United account I wouldn't notice the scam. AND they use their company card to pay the airline and then charge my card to their system for whatever upcharge they had me convinced it was the ticket price...so if you have any benefits of using your airline credit card, you can say goodbye to that. I disputed the upcharge with my credit card and Travelpod sent an email threatening me to mess up my credit, submit a small claim in court and sue me bla bla. YOU ROBBED MY HARD EARNED MONEY AND IM THE ONE TO BE TAKEN TO COURT? HOW DARE YOU? You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!

You are inviting hardship when you think about Travelpod

I booked a ticket in 2020 just before Covid, 3 travelers, Paid each ~1600$(4800$) from DC-USA to HYD-IND. This is the worst mistake I made in my lifetime. Pandemic started, the airlines cancelled their flights but Travelpod can't return money, can't change itinerary. They provide just date change with the price on that time. Mine was Delta operator and I can't change operator if we want to use AIR BUBBLE flight, I booked again in April2021, changed carrier to United. They charged me ~2000$ for change fee for three. Then Second wave started the flights are running, but I can't go I have to make them hold, they charged $150 for holding and service fee. Then I planned in Jan2022 because of personal emergency, they charged $990 for all and provided the ticket. The flight cancelled and united gave the re-route via london, which I want to avoid but because my personal emergency I can't have choice I transit through London, Because I am travelling through london I have to do Covid test in the Airport, they carged 200$ for all to get the results in 1hour... The irony is, because of Russia WAR, United cancelled return flight, so for date change they asked me 4500$ for all, I told I don't want to date change I want full refund for the cancellation because this is United did... I booked Ethihad flight from Ethihad site, they charged 3600$ for three one way ticket. After coming to US I asked for Refund,
SO they are giving refund 1046$ after I paid 8000$ for whole journey, I will get refund 1046$
The travelpod is one of the worst and non ethical organization I came across. I am searching for the lawyer to sue them on this... I am taking legal opinion before that... But I sincerely suggest go for direct AIRLINES sites to book the tickets, these guys may show 100$ benefit but in this situation better spend 100$ than loosing the mental piece.

Worst experience ever with TravelPod

Worst experience ever with TravelPod. I recommend not to go with TravelPod. Only few staff members are good. The rest are cheaters and try to take you money as much has possible. They also don't disclose lot of terms and conditions. End of the day, we will end up paying lot of money. Go with trusted travel agents like Expedia.

This travel agency is SO BAD...that the agent charged me more and when price of airfare went down the very next day, he didn't wanted to work with me on refund/credit. They stopped picking my phone and some other people will come on phone and say nothing they can do. United allows refund/credit if airfare goes down within 30 days but these peole will not work towards their customer in any ways. BEWARE of travelpod agents and stay away from them.
