We tried to cancel.our booking while still in free cancellation period but the scrappy AI they use made it impossible. We eventually got hold of a person 1 day after the cancellation period ended and there was apparently no record of us having tried to cancel so they charged us nearly $300 cancellation fee. Would never use them or recommend

It has now been 17 days since Traveloka sent a formal email (23 December 2025) claiming my refund of AUD 1,827.66 was "successful." As of today, 9 January 2026, no funds have been received.

Traveloka is now resorting to providing a "Retrieval Reference Number" (RRN: 531423662758) as "proof" of payment. I have consulted with my bank (Macquarie), and they have explicitly confirmed that an RRN is NOT proof of payment or transmission. Despite repeated demands, Traveloka has failed to provide a valid SWIFT MT103 or an ARN.

This is a clear case of a merchant providing false tracking information to a consumer to delay a legal remedy.

Current Actions Taken:

ACCC Update: I have updated my formal report to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to include this secondary breach (failure to honour a promised refund).

Bank Escalation: I have instructed my credit card provider (Coles) to finalise the chargeback immediately, providing this chain of contradictory and false information as evidence of unconscionable conduct.

Warning to others: Do not trust their "Refund Successful" emails. They are using them as a stalling tactic to avoid accountability. I will not stop until my funds are returned.

I used Traveloka for a last-minute hotel booking in the Blue Mountains over the long weekend. I always shop around and was able to get the lowest price on this site. Had no problems with the stay or anything.

Used this app to book my trips to Melbourne. It was easy to navigate the app and I received my e-tickets pretty soon after booking. Check in processes have been smooth as well.

Prices are never accurate and wastes your time multiple times in filling the entire form with personal sensitive information only to find out that price has changed.
They play tricks by showing the lowest prices and bait you into it. If you see travloka, steer away.

Traveloka CS sucks. Can't accommodate requests
