At 3am randomly charged me £311…
At 3am randomly charged me £311 without reason or concern, when I called and messaged to ask why they said to “just dispute” the payment which then said I did it with Apple Pay to a company called “Travelex Foreign Coin” which would’ve been totally impossible from me especially not for half the amount on my balance with them. BEWARE!

pre-ordered meant a longer wait
Collection was at 4am and there was only 1 agent on. It seemed quicker to just turn up, request and be given currency/card etc… than it was to pick up pre-ordered currency/card. It took the man ahead of me about 10 minutes from start to finish whereas I was about 20 minutes. By the time I walked away there were 4 more people waiting to be served.

Company Policy is to humiliate customers
Process at airport was so slow I almost missed my flight and had to abandon the second order I made leaving only with the USD order.
Your airport process made me feel like a criminal despite the international law stating below 10,000 in any currency was acceptable the endless verifications even though I was present with the documents and credit card was embarrassing.

Sold a card at Gatwick last year and it…
Sold a card at Gatwick last year and it worked fine. Now told that I will be charged £2 A MONTH for inactivity!
Tried to call and was on hold for 9 mins, tried Live Chat and at 10.35am told that it opened at 10.00am!!
You apparently HAVE to speak to someone to close your account.
VERY frustrated client

I ended up having to pay a cash advance…
I ended up having to pay a cash advance fee due to using MasterCard credit card. Unfortunately on the payment screen l was not warned of this possibility and if told that using a debit card would significantly reduce the chances of a 3% surcharge, l would have used it. Anyway, the extra charge meant the exchange rate is now not as competitive as others on the high street. Ruined the experience.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We can advise that we do not charge on Credit Cards that are used for payment for currency orders with us. However, your card issuer may charge a Cash Advance Fee as they would treat this transaction as a cash withdrawal given that you are purchasing a cash product. We do advise of this possible fee on display board at our stores.
This charge may be shown under Travelex’s name on your credit card statement, but we can assure you that this is not charged by ourselves. We suggest for you to contact your card issuer if you want to dispute this further. Kind regards, Online Support Team
