MYT (Make Your Transition) is an artist development platform for electronic music producers who are serious about their craft. We exist for one kind of person: the producer who wants to build a real career making music that matters — not someone chasing streams, not someone building a personal brand, not someone who wants to be an "influencer DJ." Someone who wants to make music that's unmistakably theirs, release it on labels they respect, and build something that lasts. We believe in the True Artist. Not a content creator. Not a social media presence with a music hobby. A True Artist is someone who makes music from the heart, with intention — someone who has something to say and the craft to say it. Someone who is building a sound, not chasing a trend. The artists we look up to — Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Guy J, Patrice Baumel — didn't build careers by gaming algorithms. They built them by being brilliant, by being consistent, and by making music that connected with people on a deep level. That's the standard. That's the long game. That's what MYT is about. This matters because the music industry will try to pull you in the wrong direction. It will reward surface-level content over substance, virality over artistry, quantity over quality. We are here to help you resist that pull — to stay focused on what you're actually here to do: make music that is recognisably yours, put it in front of the right ears, and build a career you can be proud of.

Try it, you won't regret it

TL;DR - Without MYT, there is no way at all that I’d be where I am now.

Finding your way in the music industry when you start out feels nearly impossible - it’s like the blind leading the blind. A mate recommended MYT to me back in September 2020, which was around the time I’d resolved to give production a proper go. I’d been DJing full time for 3 years by that point, and come to realise that there was a hard glass ceiling in place. To get to where I wanted to be, I needed to learn to produce.

I came at first to MYT absolutely knocked over by the quality of all the tracks in the feedback sessions. I was expecting a load of people to shit on my tunes, quite frankly, which were miles behind everyone else. What happened was quite the opposite. I got from the community at large nothing but encouragement, and from Paul, specific, actionable feedback to help each tune become the best it could be. Those feedback sessions, and generally the personal touch that Paul and the team give, are absolute gold. The courses, too, are fantastic if there is a specific area you want to improve on - whether that is sound design, arrangement, mixing & mastering or songwriting.

I’ve been a member of loads of different music mentoring communities in the 5 years since. MYT is the highest quality service by a distance, as well as being the most reasonably priced. For the price of a couple of pints a month, you will get specific guidance that will make you a better producer, and if your experience is anything like mine, help you to fall in love with making music.

I’m now in a position where my records have done more than 1.5M streams on Spotify, I’ve had multiple Beatport Top 20s, and artists like Sasha, Sam Divine, Marco Carola and many more have been playing my tunes out.

Without Paul & the team at MYT’s help, there is not a chance in hell I would be anywhere near that. If there’s one thing you do this month, try this. Commit to it, and you won’t regret it.

Producers, he’ll help you connect the dots.

If you’re feeling lost in the endless ocean of YouTube and internet tutorials — if there’s one guy who can help you “connect the dots,” like Steve Jobs once said — that guy is Paul Nolan. And the level of sensitivity, knowledge, and taste this guy has is just AMAZING.

Just like I’ve said before inside the community (which has some of the sharpest minds I’ve seen, and everyone is super friendly): he’s to producers what Cus D’Amato was to Mike Tyson — his legendary coach, the one who molded the legend into what he became.

I definitely would’ve saved myself a ton of stress on my journey if I had joined Make Your Transition earlier. I’ll go even further: whether you’re a beginner or advanced — either way, you WILL benefit.
And I say this as an information junkie who’s been deep into tutorials for over 10 years.

And here’s the wild part: being in the community feels like watching a Bedrock or Anjunadeep compilation being crafted behind the scenes — two of the most iconic labels in the world, by the way.
I genuinely recommend it — it’s a must if you’re serious about this.

I love the MYT Community

I joined 1.5 years ago and MYT has been so important to my whole electronic music journey. I love the feedback sessions. Everyone in the community gives feedback and together we discuss on what to improve. Paul loves the scene and you can feel his passion to electronic and progressive dance music. However don't worry if you produce harder or deeper, it will fit in. Also there's so much knowledge and courses from Paul and other big DJs about producing techniques, routines, mixing & mastering, marketing etc. Highly recommended!

Game Changer!

Being part of the MYT Community has been a game-changer. As a new producer with lots of ideas and not a lot of technical knowledge, Paul and the team have been instrumental in helping me grow and develop my skills. As well as being technically brilliant, Paul and the team bring loads of fun and creativity to the whole process. Regular feedback sessions on tracks, 121 coaching and amazing guests every month have been so helpful as well as collaborating with other members has been brilliant and hugely beneficial. Highly recommended for any level of producer across any electronic music genre.

A roadmap for any artists success

As a producer and DJ, getting noticed by labels and promoters was a game, which took time away from my passion, DJing and making music.

Having instant access to 25 years of knowledge, experience and expertise that Paul Nolan brings is was the game changer I needed

Paul’s has a hands on approach and a passion for helping artists reach their full potential and dreams.

I love the artist development program.

Well thought out courses and my favorite, “track feedback sessions” from the biggest names in the industry.

I'm brand new to music production and…

You will get advice and feedback from some of the best electronic music, producers, and DJs in the world. True artists and music lovers that will bring the best out of you in terms of creativity. I don't know where else you can get that. I'm brand new to music production and for me Abelton felt really scary. On top of that I was creatively frustrated in terms of creating the music I wanted to create. There are a lot of small buttons in the program and lots to learn. There's a lot of different utilities in there. It felt like learning a new language, but having the support form the community and mainly the guidance from Paul and his course really helps break it down into digestible chunks and it feels way less scary now that I have had the guidance. I feel like I am well on my way to making music and i have a deeper appreciation for music production.
