David was a great tutor, and the course was very informative and he showed me some great technics of safe driving towing a caravan, we drove on various types of roads for around 121 miles , I took my wife for the day as she suffers with PTSD and is a nervous passenger,David reassured her though the day and she is happy when we are towing our caravan now.
I would recommend this caravan towing course to anyone it builds your confidence and informs you of all the rules etc when towing.

After a few trips with a friend in their caravan, I decided to take the plunge and get my own but have never towed before. Dave was recommended by a friend as the go to person, and he fitted me in for a full day extended course before I went to collect it. It was an excellent day, we covered so many really useful things and did around 150 miles of towing on motorway, dual carriageway, A and B roads and even some country lanes. We even went through the centre of Exeter! We also did some reversing in the quiet yard where he is based. Dave had even picked a caravan for the day which matched the one I was buying in terms of size/weight. Nothing was too much trouble, he put in a really long day, was great company and very patient, professional and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the day and felt confident picking up my new caravan and towing it to its new location 75 miles away. Thank you Dave.

Me and my mum are looking at buying a caravan and decided to have some lessons before hand and David has been nothing but excellent. I really recommend having lessons if you have never towed a caravan before.

Dave was very engaging right from the first contact. He looked after us exceptionally well on the day with lots of humour, patience and professionalism thrown in. We were complete caravan novices and picked up tons of top tips and towing experience.

Would thoroughly recommend a training day with Dave. I hadn’t towed before at all & while my partner has a lot of experience towing, a twin axle caravan was a new proposition for both of us. We learned a huge amount & consider it time well spent as it gave me a chance, in particular, to build my confidence with an experienced instructor to guide me.

We covered everything from the basics of hitching up, weight distribution, safety & security features right through to driving over 150 miles between us on a good mixture of different road types & reversing onto a pitch. All done using Dave’s own 4x4 vehicle & twin axle caravan, which was very representative of our own vehicles.

Dave chose a lovely route for us to follow along A & B roads, dual carriageways & motorways around Somerset & Devon. Very typical of the kind of journeys we will make with our own caravan. Dave is excellent company too & we had a nice mix of serious learning & light-hearted laughter!

Anyone thinking of towing without previous experience, I highly recommend you do a course first. It may also reduce your insurance.

So we did a course a year ago, totally enjoyed it, came away full of great information and things we never knew. We owned a caravan stored on the camp site. Now we own a new tourer. Dave taught us so much, we went away and took all of his advise on board. But his final words…. Anytime you need anything give me a shout lol
Sooooo we booked a holiday but our car is in for repair so we gave Dave a shout and negotiated him taking our caravan to our holiday and we can’t thank him enough he’s a genuine fab guy!! Thank you.

Having recently decided to purchase a caravan and never towed before I was looking for some urgent help. Fortunately I came across Dave’s services and quickly booked myself on to the condensed 1 day course. Without a doubt this was the best decision I’ve made. We covered everything and with Dave’s great sense of humour it was a great learning environment. Somehow we managed to drive over 120 miles, covering all types of roads and locations. At the start the caravan felt like 2 miles long and 1 mile wide. Come the end of the day I almost forgot it was there. Nothing was too much trouble for Dave, even when showing me something for the fourth or fifth time he made sure I was happy. I would highly recommend anyone new to towing to spend the day with Dave, it was invaluable for me. I’ve learned so much and now feel confident hooking up the caravan to my car in a couple of weeks time.

A really informative day with very patient instruction. We did 122 miles between us including every kind of driving situation we could come across when towing our caravan - motorway, small country roads, villages etc and manoeuvring on site. Would highly recommend.

Dave was very knowledgeable about all aspects of towing and general caravans. I have had a few caravans but have not towed for a few years and needed a confidence boost. After we had covered over 100 miles and practiced reversing I felt very confident and looked forward to the next adventure.

I’m so glad I did this caravan towing day course with Dave. I hadn’t towed in over 30 years & was quite nervous. My partner knew nothing about caravans & towing & I’d forgotten a lot so we both learnt so much from him about every aspect of hitching/unhitching, towing, reversing & every safety aspect of pulling your little home from home behind you !!

Best thing I’ve done.

Dave was excellent.

The run up to the lesson, Dave was available and in great communication with me and my husband.

We did a full day course for the two of us, and it was so informative, and really gave us the confidence and knowledge to be safe on the road.

We had everything from country roads, small towns, round abouts, dual carriage ways, motorway and services

Dave was so patient with us and stayed with us until we felt comfortable.

I would highly recommend, a very well planned out day with someone who clearly knows what they’re talking about.

If I ever needed it would most definitely go back for a refresher too.

We recently switched our motorhome to a caravan but had never towed before. Today we went on the caravan towing training session with Dave. Dave was super informative and went through everything making us feel at ease. I hadn’t planned to actually drive but Dave gave me the confidence to do it along with my husband. He made sure we felt completely comfortable and sure of what we were doing. We practised hitching and unhitching, drove in lanes, on motorways, dual carriageways and through towns/ villages as well as practising reversing and parking. We were sent all the information afterwards in case we needed to check anything. Dave gave us lots of safety tips and we’ve come away feeling very happy about our upcoming trip.
