We attended a course with Dave while we were in the process of purchasing a caravan and the information that he passed on to us was invaluable and helped a great deal with choosing the type of tow car we needed and also which accessories to go for. Dave took us out towing his twin axle caravan helping us to get comfortable with towing it and giving us lot of tips all aspects of towing a large caravan. Since the training course I have taken out caravan insurance with Caravan Guard and the training course made us eligible for a 1 year no claims discount making the insurance quote cheaper. I would recommend the course very much to anyone who is about to purchase a caravan for the first time.

The course was so comprehensive, I learned so much! From Safety to maintenance both theory and practical. I learned how to hitch up, reverse and manoeuvre and then how to drive on country lanes, town centres and a motorway!
The weather on the day was horrific - basically a storm. We navigated floods and winds - My instructor was firm and fair, whilst also calm and supportive. His years of experience shone through. An invaluable day - would highly recommend to anyone considering towing for the first time. Worth every penny.

I found the days course really interesting and useful as I was a bit apprehensive about my ability to tow a caravan. David takes you through the theory and useful facts in a clear straight forward manner, welcoming any questions you might have. The practical element of hitching up the caravan was clearly demonstrated where participation is required. Towing the caravan under Davids supervision became pleasurable once I’d gotten the feel of things. Our 85 mile drive covered A roads, dual carriage ways and motorways, so a good cross section of what would be encountered. I’m no pro, but I’m confident that I can tow a caravan safely so the course was very worthwhile.

I booked with Dave for my caravan/trailer towing day and was so happy with the course. I learned so much more than I could imagine. I was attending mainly for the driving part of it as I was looking for more confidence reversing and parking ,but I have to say I was impressed with the theory side as I didn’t realise how much there is to learn! Thank you for a fabulous course, that has taught me theory and practical and given me confidence throughout, as a Newbie Caravan owner, I feel very prepared now 😊

Brilliant one to one day with David, picked up so many useful tips. My 1st time towing a caravan, a little apprehensive to start with but my confidence improved throughout the day. Just completed my 1st maiden trip away, 600 miles incident free which might not have been possible without the knowledge I gained during the caravan training.

Quite a stressful start to the day due to traffic issues affecting not only my journey but the practical part of the course too. Great amount of information given by Dave throughout the day.
Great confidence booster, taken through step by step and also given additional information that was tailored to individual need.
Would recommend as covers things that you wouldn’t think about ahead of time. Really glad I completed the course 😊

Trailer Daves’ course was absolutely perfect. He covered everything a novice could want to know about owning and towing a caravan. My husband was the driver and I sat in the back writing notes, although there was no need really as he emailed a pact the following day with everything he had covered. A genuinely nice man! I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing to learn how to tow or for just a refresher.

Being first time caravan owners we wanted to learn from a professional. David was so patient, knowledgeable and thorough. The morning was spent doing theory including many useful hints and tips about Caravanning in general. We then covered reversing, driving on country roads and the motorway and finishing with reversing into a parking bay. All in all a very worthwhile day giving me much needed confidence to tow a caravan safely. Highly recommend David and his training course 🙂

The towing course was very comprehensive including theory followed by towing instruction on the public roads. Also lots of very useful tips including written guides has provided us with the confidence to tow a caravan safely for the first time. Dave is a very engaging, experienced and knowledgable instructor who set us at ease straight away and patiently answered our questions.

We had a fantastic day with Dave on our towing course. We have never towed and Dave put us at ease from the start. Theory dide first gave us great knowledge about towing then we were able to both drive on country roads, motorways, dual carriage ways and through towns. Dave was great with jokes and humourous stories which made us feel relaxed, comfortable and enjoyed the course. Before the course, I was adamant that I wouldn't tow but now feel that I will be able to. Would highly recommend Dave and his towing course.

My wife and I spent a day with David and came away feeling confident and ready for towing our own caravan, which we shall be collecting soon.
The day started with basic information, hitching/unhitching, security and legal information.
Next we did hands-on practice before starting the driving session. Reversing in a straight line, easier said than done. David was patient and helpful with his advice. Same with reverse parking.
The road drive was really useful, and again, David’s advice was patient, informative and not at all overbearing.
We definitely feel that the day was useful and recommend it to anyone who has not towed before.

Dave is a wealth of knowledge and an excellent teacher (I'm a teacher, I know!). He is patient and encouraging but also very thorough. We picked up our caravan the next day and, despite being our first, towed it with confidence and success.
