Salesperson acted as if I were lucky to be allowed on the lot.
Imagine this, you have spent hours researching, so many questions to the wife she is tired of talking, and then more internet research to narrow the choice of vehicles down to three. You visit dealers #1 & 2, grab late lunch and go to see what you are confident is the one that will win her heart. Get out of you car and see two salesmen outside talking (smoke break I think) and you tell them simply, "We are looking for a RAV-4." That's it, this should be simple.
Instead of a "welcome, my name is ____" or anything similar you are told very tersely "We have been busy today, if you want one of those, we sell them before they get here."
That was all he said before turning back to his smoking buddy and resuming a conversation as if we were not even there.
No questions, no assist. No offer to show us something else, in fact, he did not even ask if we were looking for new or used. Just complete disdain for the fact his smoke break was interrupted by a customer looking for a new car. Just a simple brush off, like the Queen waiving a flippant limp wrist saying "be gone".
Apparently customers of Patt Lobb Toyota are supposed to get out of your car, kiss the ground to show how blessed you feel to be allowed, then crawl into the showroom and gravel seeking to be judged good enough to present your case as to why they should allow you to be a customer. After all, starting prices of new cars being so low . . . we should all be thankful. At least that is the way the staff acts at Patt Lobb Toyota of McKinney.
