Was concerned about the reviews so…

Was concerned about the reviews so before I ordered I called to confirm availability. Finished order on phone, was five minutes before cutoff for same day shipping. Paid the extra for overnight and was told if it didn't make the same day shipping due to ordering so close to cutoff time I'd get a call to let me know. Didn't get a call but also didn't get any email with order or shipping confirmation. Got worried but my package arrived about 10am the next day. Would order from them again

I am putting one star only for the…

I am putting one star only for the service they provide you with . I ordered timing kit for almost $500 but it wasn’t for me , so before placing the order I called to find out how fast they will ship and when I will receive the kit. So the representative wasn’t helpful at all looked like she didn’t even care . I placed the order on Thursday and received on Thursday but on their website it’s says ships usually with 24/48 hours, the package was left at some pharmacy, and they didn’t even provide me with any shipping details. I am not sure about quality of the product that I bought but it’s not even for me so I don’t really care . But service wise there is no service for my self I would not buy anything from them .

Very sorry for your frustration, the items that are listed as usually ships within 24 hours are items that ship manufacturer direct. These manufacturers do not provide us inventory data but do tend to keep items in stock. Unfortunately there are always exceptions that come up. I can't speak to the specifics of the shipping issue our customer service department always does what they can to resolve these issues promptly.

Horrible

Horrible, Stay away, they charge you then send an email saying your order is “back ordered” for 3 to 4 weeks. Must be a back room business cause all my phone calls and emails got no response until I contacted the BBB of New York. Finally spoke with woman who informed me that my order was still on back order for another month! I told her to cancel my order and reimburse my credit card. Waiting to see if she follows thru. Waisted my time with this company. They don’t answer their phone or contact customers! Bad! Bad! Bad! Never again and I’m spreading this to all I know

We have over 150 thousand items on our website we have our own warehouse and deal with several other distributors and hundreds of manufacturers direct. We have items that are in stock for same day shipments and items that are special orders and yes some of the products listed can be on backorder. Many companies do not provide a backorder service because it can frequently lead to frustration, however most of the time our customers are very happy to be able to find these difficult to find manufacturer direct items. Many of the manufacturers and suppliers require us to pay up front so we have to charge up front. We always confirm with the customer by phone or email before placing the item on backorder. We always reply to our customers so I can't say what happened here but we all apologize for your frustration.

Horrible company

Was told out of stock so I called and cancelled order. Next day they shipped half of order anyway, charged me for full order. Now won't let me return for refund. They ignore emails, no recourse through Paypal. Awful experience!

I have no way to see what the specific problem was however we do have hundreds of suppliers and manufacturers many times multiple line item orders could ship from different companies. I can only say I assure you we dont ignore our customers and do everything we can to work out problems like this.

Poor Inventory Management and Worse Communication

Informed me that one tool of a larger was on back order and would arrive in 3-4 weeks. After waiting a week and a half for my order to arrive, I called twice to check its status. Neither of my calls were answered and I left my order number and a call back number. 24 hours after the original call, I sent an email to customer service, which was actually answered very quickly. After some back and forth they apologized and said the original email for the back order was incorrect and the entire order was actually on backorder. In the interest of full disclosure, in the original email, their explicit language was:
" Back ordered: Timing Chain Wedge for 6689 Chrysler Jeep 4.7L V8

o The balance will ship. "

With "The balance will ship highlighted". I could be wrong but this to me makes it seem like only the back ordered item will be shipped later. Additionally after cancelling my order I checked their website and it has not been updated to reflect the true stocks of the items, i.e. the items on backorder were still listed as in stock. So if you have any type of time frame your on I would avoid this company all together, even though they have a great selection.

I would like to apologize for your poor experience I can't tie this comment back to a specific order so I can't speak directly to what happened here, however we deal with hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers all have different lead times inventories and methods for problem solving. There is a business cost to providing the wide range of product and service that we provide. Sometimes things can get out of control when things dont go as planned. A horrendous company to deal with if…

A horrendous company to deal with if you don't receive your order, I only received half of my order and they put me through the hoops with UPS and would not provide me with a refund or a replacement item. STAY AWAY!!!

No problems.Shipping a little slower …

No problems.Shipping a little slower than expected.Getting email to rate and haven't even received the item yet.I think some times they need to charge shipping to the weight not the cost.In my case the item weight 1lbs.so I was going to order 2.But shipping so expensive could not justify.Then ordered 1 fuel pump pressure gauge.

Sorry your package was delayed. Shipping is expensive there isn't enough margin in orders below $100 to cover those fees. I dont know where your specific order was shipped but our primary warehouse is in PA but we have items that can ship from all over the country. Many of our items ship direct from the manufacturer so delivery times can vary.

Unanswered customer "service" inquiry

At the end of May 2017 I wanted to place a second order for some items that were not on the website so, as usual, I requested that the items be added to the website. Here it is the middle of July 2017 and both of my requests went completely unanswered. For my first attempt I used the contact page on the website and for my second attempt I sent an e-mail to their customer service address. I do not know what happened to this company. They used to have outstanding customer service. My last order with them is covered by invoice OST276382 (which went through without any problems, so at least for that order Toolsource deserves five stars).

Ordered a $3,000.00 heavy tool made of …

Ordered a $3,000.00 heavy tool made of multiple components. Came in it's own crate to be used as a chest for storage (20 ton Porto Power unit). Because it was so heavy it required a common carrier method for shipment. They put it on a pallet and the crate, which was made to contain the tool was split open at the bottom and hidden by all the shrink wrap. I can rebuild the crate, but it could all have been avoided with a better shipping method, but like everything else you ship a chance is taken due to the lack of care of shipping companies. Whenever you ship heavy objects a chance of damage is often possible. Other than that it was what it was represented to be. I was not at the commercial address I shipped it to at the time of delivery so the damage to the crate made to keep the tool in was not visible to the receiver.

Excellent!!!

Fantastic experience. Best prices on all tools that I ordered (and I looked around everywhere). All tools came in excellent condition. One of the items I ordered was on backorder - they were excellent with communication and once they were in stock they sent me the items next day air for FREE!!
Great customer service - will definitely be ordering from them in the future.

Just recently received, assembled and practiced with it. Very nice operation, powerful and accurate. Fun and easy to use. Had to adjust vertical sight from factory setting only for shorter range practice. Great product and my friends liked it too.

Shipping charges aren't what they quote more like custome Dis-Service

I ordered 3 heating elements I was quoted $35 for second day shipping, I said perfect told the client what we were paying and then got jacked with them saying they could not ship it for that and it would be $88...
Completely misquoted...
I returned the email. Saying 'I'd say that you should fix that on your website and it's not my fault, but I'll work with you, make it get here on Wednesday next week and we are good'
They took that as I would pay extra, when I refutiated it they then changed it to Ground shipping... now my quote to the client on the time frame is wrong and when they need them next week we may not got them... gotta love throwing a huge Hollywood party without Heat!

Hi Tom, We are sorry you aren't happy with our shipping options. We attempted to work this out with you. In the end you didn't want to pay the freight for the items and asked that we ship it ground. Our website clearly states that the weight and quantity of items may result in additional charges for Air freight. Shipping is expensive we cannot control that. Most products are delivered within 2-3 days with our free ground shipping over $99 we ship from warehouses all over the country. That said some items ship direct from the manufacturer and do require additional fees.

YOU SIMPLY DON'T MATTER TO THE TOOLSOURCE SPAMMER

ToolSource says: "These were marketing emails, with special pricing and discounts and only go to customers with whom we have had a direct relationship."- TOTALLY FALSE!! I do not now, NOR HAVE I EVER, had any kind of relationship with ToolSource or EVEN visited their website!!!!
I dont know how ToolSource got hold of my work email address BUT once they did - OH MY GOODNESS - the SPAM is relentless. The emails come with different names most pointing back to support at Toolsource dot com (sometimes to no_reply at toolsource dot com) but they don't respond, they just CONTINUALLY spam.
You can call & leave messages BUT they WONT respond, they just keep the SPAM coming!
There is an unsubscribe link, but it links to usmarketingpros.com - a sure sign that this is SPAM!! I'm not clicking to alert any email marketer that they have an active address. No,no, no.
So I looked up Toolsource on FaceBook to request removal. They told me to IM them and I did - NO ANSWER and then they blocked me from the page.
There is NO desire to make things right, NONE AT ALL.

Hi Susan, We appreciate your business and understand your frustration with SPAM. We all hate SPAM but our emails are not SPAM and comply with the CAN SPAM ACT. These were marketing emails, with special pricing and discounts and only go to customers with whom we have had a direct relationship. We did respond to you and I was trying to work it out with you when you started making negative comments down our Facebook wall, those actions lead me to block you. I was chatting with you attempting to resolve this just before I blocked your Facebook posts. As I explained to you at the time all you had to do was click on the unsubscribe link in the emails, you said that you didn't want to do that and didn’t provide me with your email address. I could not remove you from the system without your email address our system only stores addresses not names. The domain usmarketingpros is not a scam or spamming organization as you have described. It is nothing more than a domain that we have used to host the email marketing software for our business. I did everything I could and eventually I was able to track your emails down in our system. Once I found your email addresses I removed those from the mailing lists. I sympathize with your frustration but your comments here are simply unfair and not true.

Untrustworthy. Incompetent and deceptive practices.

In-stock is not in stock.
Only after ordering did I find my part was direct ship from the manufacturer.
My order was not followed through on (submitted to the manufacturer) until I called nine days later.
Customer service purposely misinformed me on several points.

Ordered a part (sandblaster gun) from Toolsource.com online on the 10th and received a confirmation email, waited a week and a half with no further communication from Toolsource.com.
After waiting nine days (now the 19th), I called Toolsourse.com and was told "please hold the line and I will call the manufacturer as this part ships direct to you from them." after 5 or 6 minutes she came back on the line and said "the manufacturer is shipping it today". When I asked "why the delay?"
Toolsource.com could not say.
I waited another eleven days (now the March-1st), then emailed Toolsource.com because I had not received the part or an email saying it had shipped.
This time I was told "sorry the part is made to order and will ship for about two weeks"
Frustrated and in disbelief that every blast gun is made per order, I called the manufacturer (a small business with a dozen or so employees).
I talked to the receptionist (who also handles the incoming/outgoing orders) and I talked with a rep. on the manufacturing floor.
I found the tool for making my part was being retooled and the part would not be available for three weeks (not the two as I was told by Toolsource.com)
I was transferred to the orders department. They looked up by order and it was then that I found my order was only submitted to them on the 19th of the month, not the 10th when I ordered the part from Toolsource.com.
I then called toolsource.com and cancelled my order.

We have over a hundred thousand items on our website and none of them display stock status because it is impossible for us to provide accurate data from the hundreds of different companies that we deal with. This item was on back order and we notify our customers of this immediately. Your specific order was lost because of communication issues and confusion regarding your direct contact with the manufacturer. We provide our customers with standard lead times of 4-6 weeks for backorders because we know from experience that many of them are unable to meet their commitments when the customer is given specific dates. We apologize for the confusion and frustration that this caused, but the specific item was on a long lead time backorder and we were unable to find an alternate source.
