Mediocre, but functional

I have used TLC Live for two lessons so far. Overall, the actual teaching service is okay, but the administrative side and the overall value leave a lot to be desired.

The tuition itself is a bit mediocre. While the lessons run smoothly enough, they don't exactly go above and beyond. One major downside for me is that no homework is given. If you are looking for a service that reinforces learning outside of the session hours to ensure progress, you won't get that here. On the plus side, they do offer a tiered pricing structure: it works out slightly cheaper if you are willing to have your lesson in a small group of three students.

The onboarding and billing process is where the experience really drops. Initially, TLC Live completely bombards your inbox with emails. Once you are signed up, the aggressive communication shifts toward your wallet. They chase payments a full 7 days before the lessons even happen, and they do so almost relentlessly. It feels incredibly pushy for a service that is only delivering an "okay" educational experience.

Pros: Slightly cheaper rates if you opt for the group-of-three sessions. The online classroom setup functions fine.

Cons: Lessons feel a little mediocre and lacking in spark. No homework is assigned to reinforce learning.
Relentless, aggressive payment chasing a week before lessons. An overwhelming flood of emails when you first sign up.

If you just need basic, functional support and want to save a bit of money via group sessions, it does the job. However, if you want high-quality teaching, independent study support, and a relaxed admin experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
