Hi David. Thank you for your review. As discussed with you at the time, and also noted on your invoice, when we found out the issue with your vehicle, we fully explained that the only way to fully rectify the issue was to replace the coolant bottle, hoses and fully flush the system and advised you in this matter. We explained that we would need to fully flush the engine out several times, and also replace at least the coolant header tank, but preferably, most of the coolant pipes too. We gave you a price to replace the parts with Genuine parts, and you told us that was far too expensive and you could obtain cheaper parts from eBay. We then advised you that, as a minimum, the coolant bottle would need replacing, and not washing out as you requested, as this would not work. You told us that this wasn't necessary as you have extensive experience in this field, and that we could simply 'jet wash' the coolant bottle out. As most people are aware, water will not clean oil away, and we explained that your course of action would not work. You then told us to jet wash the coolant bottle out, and that would work. We jet-washed the coolant bottle out in situ and did not flush out the engine(as requested by you and against our advice), as you told us this would not be needed and also was a waste of money. We carried out the works YOU requested against our professional advice. We filled the coolant bottle, ran the vehicle, test drove, and all was ok. When you collected the vehicle, it was explained to you that there would still be oil in the system, but you were still adamant that jet-washing the coolant bottle would rid the complete system of oil. The one thing you are correct about is that when you drove away, within a few miles, the coolant level warning light came on. After being very rude to us on the phone, and telling us that you wouldn't f@@@@ng be coming back, you turned up. We tended to you, put about an egg cup full of water in the system, and oil contamination due to not being correctly flushed out as advised and declined, was the likely cause for this. Several rude words later youy sped off. We did offer to carry out the works correctly, but you declined this offer and opted for 'your way'. Unfortunately, as we told you, that would not work. And sadly, now, you feel that your decisions, totally opposite to our advice, are somehow our fault. Kindest Regards.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Do not use this Company. The Owner is a very rude man and put the telephone down on me mid conversation. He returned my Range Rover after a service and MOT with more issues with it than it went in with and now undriveable due to safety issues. At the suggestion my husband and I stand outside the workshop while they talked us through what they had done to my car and what they thought was wrong with it, he has not responded to my email. Now instructing solicitors and having to hire a car. Terrible terrible customer experience.

Hi Mary. Thank you for that review. I won't mention your language or attitude to the staff here, or the fact that we bent over backwards to help you, or the fact that when you had unrelated issues from the works we carried out, that you were so concerned about the safety of the vehicle, you still managed to drive over 1500 miles on your trip to France, and only after returning back to Norfolk, did you feel that the car was then unsafe to drive after a bus ran you off the road which was infact nothing to do with the works!!!!! We value our valued customers. I'm glad you have found a garage to look after you and your car, as I will not let my employees be spoken to and treated in the manner you feel is acceptable. We did offer to look at your vehicle and rectify any issues; however, you were the one who chose not to bring the vehicle in. With reference your quote on we failed to notify you of a DPF issue, please read the notes on your invoice, which were fully explained to you when you collected the vehicle " All vehicle fault codes have been read and cleared, especially the note relating to the fault code for emmission, exhaust pipes sooted, fault cleared, but may come back on". Unfortunately, we can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone.

Trailer hire cowboys

Please note this is in reference to the trailer hire side of the business my card was charged to tjc landrovers ( same owners)
Wouldn’t touch these clowns again with a barge pole , hired a triple axle trailer backed upto it and the lady running the office put it on the truck , and checked the lights for me she asked can I check that jockey wheel clamp was tight as she had hurt her arm I checked the clamp it was tight , got about 2 miles up the road and discovered that the jockey wheel had unwound ( clamp was tight ) the r clip pin had not been put through the handle to stop it unwinding luckily no other damage other than a scuffed tyre wound it up put in pin and continued my journey , upon my return I explained what had happened pointed out the tyre and reminded the lady that it was she who forgot the r clip which was accepted , I was promised my deposit back and she told me would refund me later that afternoon 3 days later and several phone calls still no refund of my deposit, couple of days after that they part refunded my deposit less charges for a complete new jockey wheel numerous phone calls resulted in me being basically fobbed off couldn’t get hold of boss etc etc , I would have agreed to half and half but the underhand way they took the refund clearly shows the company have no backbone if they intended to charge me they should have been upfront , I eventually managed to get my card company involved and got a part refund , wish I’d checked online reviews before as this seems to a common issue with this firm , just be warned put the trailer on yourself as the people they employ in a trailer hire business clearly don’t know how to hitch up a trailer and pass there incompetence on to you

Had problems with my LR

Had problems with my LR, and was advised to ring this company for assistance. I took it in to them first thing in the morning, and the problem was diagnosed and rectified by the end of the day, they also loaned me a vehicle for the day. I was very pleased with their customer service, and no rip off prices either. I shall definately be using them again.

What can I say other than brilliant

What can I say other than brilliant, this by the way is a genuine review.
My discovery came back from London after having a new engine fitted.
On my MOT from last year I had a few advisories that needed to be carried out, this company did exactly what it says on the tin, there was a great deal of work to be done, new steering brakes discs callipers the list is endless, nevertheless everything was done to perfection and the motor drives like a new one, I would recommend this company to anyone all day long.
As I said this is a real review of my experience with TJC land rovers, they also gave me a curtesy car while working on mine, brilliant, Mr T Davies of Norfolk

EXCELLENT SERVICE, EXCELLENT COMPANY

I apologise to anyone reading this, but this company and it's owner gave us an absolutely amazing service, which I feel needs sharing.
We were on our way to North Norfolk on holiday, towing a caravan, when our Landrover broke down. We were only 20 minutes from the site, and decided to bite the bullet and telephone the local main dealer, what a mistake that was. Not interested, and can't do anything for three weeks, even though I explained our situation, which was towing a caravan, with two children and two dogs on board! We managed to contact the local garage, but he admitted he was out of his depth. Luckily for us, another Landrover pulled into the garage, and tried to help, but pointed us in the direction of TJC Landrovers, well, there phone number. Anyway, at 17.25 on a Friday evening I made the call, expecting to leave a message, but the call was answered. The owner, Tony Cable, explained that they were closed, but the telephones were on divert to his mobile. After explaining our predicament, and the fix we were in, he said that he would be with us within the hour. Within the hour he turned up, and told us that he thought it was the fuel pump, and that they could get one for Tuesday morning. Not a lot of help in our situation..but then he offered us a lifeline. Load the children and dogs into his Discovery, hitch the caravan up and he would tow us to the site. When on the site, he would help us unhitch the caravan, and then take my husband back to his garage to collect and loan Freelander for us to use, and proceed to recover our dead Landrover. Monday morning, we receive the call saying that it is the fuel pump. Tuesday morning we recive the call saying that our Landrover is repaired, and that to prevent any furhter inconvenience to our hilday he would send someone over to swap over with there loan Freelander. Wow, we are one time users as we live nearly 250 miles away, but what service, If TJC Landrovers read this all I can say once more is thank you, EXCELLENT SERVICE, EXCELLENT TO DEAL WITH.

Untrustworthy Sales with No Care or Consideration When Found Out.

My recent experience of TJC Landrovers in Norfolk has left me gobsmacked and very much distressed. I bought a vehicle from Tony Cable (the proprietor) in March 2016, it was one of his company vans, a new vehicle only having been on the road for 15 months - having been bought by him direct from a dealer.
Unbeknown to me (until now) he had obviously had problems with the electrics on the van and certain items on the van had not been 'factory' fitted as he assured me everything had.
In short the man (and therefore the company) do not care one bit for you as long as they get the sale. In this they are prepared to evade telling you the truth to the questions you ask and are quick to wash their hands of you as soon as the money lands in their bank account.
Please take my advice as I'm a very straightforward and honest person that Tony Cable and TJC Landrovers do not deserve your business at any level.
