Lazy journalism

Recent article states UK is one of the best countries. It is not a country, it's a unified state. The countries in it, for the present are Northern Ireland, Wales Scotland and England. Peddling an inaccurate narrative is lazy journalism.

DISHONEST COMPANY - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My husband and I attended a home show in January and paid $40 to participate in a zoom presentation where at the end you were supposed to get a voucher for a week vacation at one of their US properties. We attended the zoom call on the 21 of January. We didn't purchase the vacation package as it didn't fit how we travel but we did participate in the presentation and were assured that by participating and PAYING OUR $40 that we would get that voucher. IT IS A SCAM! I emailed them 6 different times to follow up on getting my voucher for travel. They continuously said that they had already sent it although we never saw it. I finally sent them an email on April 29 and they finally had a voucher shipped by May 10. I mailed in my voucher so that we can get our week scheduled and now have received a form letter saying that they are unable to process our voucher because they received it more than 45 days after the voucher date. This was a form letter with 3 other boxes to check with reasons why you won't get your voucher. DISHONEST COMPANY DON't WASTE YOUR TIME!

Time Out's new found niche as a foreign…

Time Out's new found niche as a foreign tourist's go-to guide to the top 10 x, y or z in London may be commercially profitable (especially with all those sponsored listings and pop up adverts). But to anyone who remembers the 100+ page magazine from the 1990s and 2000s - before the Crash and the Great Shift Online - it just appears sad, desperate and pathetic. It used to be possible to open a page of Time Out at random and find details of e.g. 25 jazz gigs on any given day, 20 lesbian bars in WC2 alone, plus scores of poetry readings and hundreds of cinema listings. But now it resembles an online version of Pariscope, the French magazine that tells you where to find the Folies Bergeres. Time Out will now give you details of perhaps 10 specially curated 'top' nightclubs, when previously it would have just provided listings for more than 200. A modern tragedy, if ever there was one.

Brewdog bottomless brunch is a scam

Brewdog bottomless brunch is a scam. They do not let you chose from their regular menu. Instead they give a card that is supposed to be their brunch menu with only four or five items on it, each worse than the other, and anything else is EXTRA! That is not the menu they showcase on Timeout. You can not even order a side even though they have them on that ridiculous brunch menu of theirs. How is this bottomless I asked, it turns out you can drink as much Prosecco as you can in 90 minutes. Good deal if you are an alcoholic. I ended up eating avocado on toast for 20 pounds! It is a scam, I am never ever going for any deal Timeout markets.

I’d give zero stars

I’d give zero stars. I bought an offer tickets for the Lara Croft Tomb Raider event, and it did not work. The organisers for Tomb raider would not deal with it because I bought it through time out. Timeout is not reachable. Lost 50 pounds. Beware!

Dishonest

I have used this web site to buy tickets for art course/event advertised by them just to find out that it was a scam and TimeOut cannot help me.

Timeout foreign country dating app recommendations

Timeout rates dating apps for various countries in Asia and recommends apps that barely exist in certain countries. Guessing that they are paid placement recommendations. The most ridiculous recommendation is Bristlr, an app to meet dudes with facial hair. Asian women grow up with males who have little to no facial hair and you are generally attracted to what you are around and grow up with. Want to meet women in Asia and you are a hairy beast? Get waxed from head to toe.

Autors of this magazine have no clue at all.

How naive, ridiculous and dangerous it is by this "dumb people" magazine to post a ranking of Neukölln in Berlin, actually the most dangerous place in Berlin ever. Clan families rule, Shootings and really bad beatings every day and kicking women really hard down the Subway staircases. Pee and poop in the streets, homeless people living in the bushes in the parks, where you cannot even enter anymore at night. Also lgbti bashing’s all the time.

Apparently the author must have been only to one of maybe 5 of the hipster coffee shops or boring burger restaurants in an area, a very tiny area at the edge of Neukölln. But sure, if you love stinking trash in the streets, baggers and danger, you'll be at the right place. Well, you find exact same Brand coffee shops and burger restaurants in really cool, hip and nearby areas, such as Prenzlauer Berg or Friedrichshain. But recommending an area where you might get shot or stabbed, is simply dumb. And posting Tempelhofer Feld airport is not Neukölln. It’ll be gone In a few years anyway.

Very disappointing.

Very disappointing.
I have ordered Smash avocado. Sadly didn’t have a magnifying glass with me to find the avocado. My friend has asked for butter. It arrived at the table fully melted. It could be nice to be served a mag of cappuccino on a
saucer. Not much more to add except that one of the waitress was extremely unpleasant.

LOVE IT

LOVE IT. I loooove the magazine and their website. I'm truly a huge fan. Really great read, I always learn something new happening in London and I'm very well informed already. I'm on the lookout for the printed magazine every week, it makes my day. It's nice to have the digital version available as well, especially now during covid when it's more difficult to get a hold of the printed version.
Their offers seem amazing as well (though haven't tried them yet). And I love their Time Out markets, I visited the one in Lisbon, truly a must visit for anyone visiting the city.

Timeout for BusinessPremium Service. Its a scam, keep away

I am both annoyed and disgusted with my experience with Timeout. Please do not waste your money, they will fleece you off.
We signed up our business (pub) with timeout based on their sales pitch and how they can help us grow. It was a premium profile so you pay hundreds of pounds every month and in return get frustration and helplessness. Once we signed the contract we realised the whole sales pitch and promises were lies and only to extract money. After that emails and calls went unanswered, even basic service is supposed to work better than their premium servivce. Our advert was last updated in 2016 way before we took over so they didnt even make an effort or spare any minute to update the details.
We did receive a response but only when we stopped the direct debit. We asked for the invoice to be sent to us for us to make further payments (we had paid every thing except last 3 months). Again the phones and emails went dead for long time and then we saw a demand from debt collector for outstanding dues with penalties etc on top. When we contacted timeout they did reply this time (ofcourse coz they need to extract money) They lie that they send emails and reminders, when you ask them for proof you get screenshot with no evidence that email was indeed sent. We are paying the extra cost to the debt collectors as want to just close this chapter and move on (Timeout and their collectors still pretend to be saints telling us how good a deal we have got as they are only charging 50% of penalty which was applied without contacting us or providing us with invoices)...If you hear premium service from TIMEOUT...RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE..ITS A FRAUD AND SCAM

I’m recommending Time Out Offers

I’m recommending Time Out Offers / Vouchers to anyone who’s thinking about purchasing. I used them multiple times and I got a good deal with it. Recently during the Covid crisis they extended all the voucher validities so people don’t miss out on things they have purchased before the lockdown which I thought was just very understanding of them to do.

premium is a DISGUSTING SCAM

I am disgusted by my experience with premium profiles.

I signed up for a premium account with time out a couple of years ago as they sold me on their pitch of the numbers they get to the site and that would see your page, for the sake of advertising my cafe. Once I signed up I quickly realised that NO ONE sees your page, the numbers they promise do not eventuate even though you're paying hundreds of pounds a month for it. I convey this concern to me and they tell me in order to get more views or appear on the home page, recommended page or the list articles they write, you have to pay more again! What a scam! I then decided to cancel the account, I asked them over and over and no one responded, I phoned and emailed so many times but nothing! They would then chase me for money but ignore my cancellation requests. A couple months go by.... finally I got onto someone and they said ok we will cancel it but sorry you will have to pay for the previous couple of months and the rest of the contract! Not only am I stuck in a contract that has not delivered what they said they would, but I also have to pay for the months that I had been trying to cancel this account for!! I hear nothing for 2 years after arguing with them and paying some of it off. NOW two years later in the middle of the covid19 crisis and they just sent me a debt recovery letter threatening legal action if I dont pay for the months I didnt pay for while I was waiting to get a response about the cancellation!! DISGUSTING corporate practices and not worth using AT ALL.

Excellent, especially Alex from Time Out's customer care team…

I love Time Out and use their offers once / twice a month. The offers are by far the best offers around in terms of % of discount as well as having the widest range of offers; from dinners to days out and events. Payment is quick and easy and you receive vouchers via e-mail instantly. I have never had a problem with the end vendor accepting the voucher or not honoring the offer.

I recently had one issue with an offer I purchased and called their customer services and spoke to Alex. She was fantastic! She gave me great advice and followed up in an e-mail shortly after confirming what she explained on the phone. My issue was resolved within an hour of me calling.

Thank you Alex, before I called I was apprehensive about how the call would go but you were no-nonsense, helpful and true to your word. The fact you offered to follow up in an e-mail (which came through not 15 minutes after our conversation) without me asking is testament to the excellent customer service you offer.

I will continue using Time Out and I have no hesitation recommending them to others.
