Poor customer service
I have twice booked with Tilos travel and had bad experiences both times. The first time I bought tickets online for the ferry from Kuşadası to Pythagoria, Samos. When I arrived in Phythagoria for the return trip I was told there was no ferry. I would need to take a taxi to the other side of the island and hope to be on time for the ferry or buy tickets with another company. Tilos travel never contacted me with this information despite having my telephone number and email address
The second time I booked with Tilos was for the ferry from Fethiye to Rhodes. Because we were travelling in the off season someone from our group called and asked about the ferry schedule two days before departure . We booked the tickets and packed our bags. The following day (the day before departure) someone did call me to say that our return ferry had been cancelled. She didn’t speak any English. So it’s a good thing that my Turkish was sufficient to understand. But she called at 17:45 and told me that my friends and I had until 18:00 to decide what we were going to do and get back to her
We decided to just go for the day. The washrooms on the Sea Star ferry were disgusting. There was no toilet paper, the paper towels were soaking wet, the floor was wet, the toilets would not flush so you can use your imagination. There was no one at the cafe the first two times we went. They had no credit card machine and no change for those paying cash 🤷♀️
