Enjoyable wine tasting experience!

The wine tasting experience was most enjoyable … my partner enjoyed it immensely. The surroundings and views from a comfortable room were a delight … despite the rather inclement weather.

However, there is a distinct lack of communication at Three Choirs Vineyard.

We were unable to book online (technical issues) but thankfully, a member of staff actually answered the telephone to take the booking… although there were further technical issues, and we had to wait until the next day before we received confirmation of our booking.

Upon arrival, we witnessed another customer experiencing some kind of ‘mix up’ with their booking.

Prior to our arrival we had left 3 telephone messages and sent an email regarding the booking of dinner for that evening (Saturday 6th June) . Despite the promise of a return call x3, no calls were returned and the email was ignored.

As a result, we dined elsewhere (The Moody Cow). Dinner at vineyard had originally been part of the plan for a relaxing weekend …

Upon returning home, I realised that I left an item in the room that I wished to be returned. I emailed Three Choirs who agreed to return said item at a cost of £12.00 for 2nd class delivery!

The item weighed 400g;(I have an identical item at home) the cost of Royal Mail guaranteed next day delivery by 1.00pm for said weight is £10.95! Needless to say, the postage cost exceeded the value of the item, so I declined.

Breakfast on Sunday morning (7th June) was good, but staff seemed to be ‘doubling up’ duties eg reception staff clearing up breakfast tables … perhaps what appears to be staff shortages and communication shortcomings is what management at Three Choirs needs to consider …

Three Choirs has the potential to be able to offer a superb, relaxing wine tasting experience combined with delicious meals and a comfortable overnight / weekend stay … but sadly, we won’t be returning.

A fabulous wine tasting

Myself and my mum visited for a wine tasting last year and had the best day. The vineyard itself is beautiful and the setting is lovely and relaxed. We ordered almost everything on the food menu to accompany the wine (complete gluttony!) and each dish was phenomenal. We bought several bottles of wine to take home too and hope to come back to top up our stock soon!
