We’re The Wood Look, a small family business in Stourbridge run by James and Sam. Since 2017 we’ve been engraving personalised wooden watches and bracelets, in walnut, oak, ebony, sandalwood and olive wood. Engraving is free on our quartz watches, and you’ll always see a preview before we engrave anything. Very Poor
Very poor - ordered a watch for my husband and paid extra to get it for our wedding anniversary on the 10th, but the next day received an email to say it had been cancelled as out of stock ! You obviously don't keep track of your inventory particularly well, so now have to wait for my money back and have no time or funds for that matter to source an alternative.
UPDATE - as I had already explained, I do not have the time or money now to buy a replacement, as have to wait for the funds to go back into the account so the apology from you is pointless!

I’m really sorry about this. I completely understand how frustrating and disappointing it must be, especially as this was for your wedding anniversary and you paid extra to receive it in time.
Unfortunately, our stock system didn’t update correctly and the item had already sold out, which is why the order had to be cancelled shortly after being placed. I appreciate that this left you without enough time to arrange an alternative gift, and I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Your refund has been processed in full, including the upgrade fee. We’re also reviewing our inventory process to help prevent this happening again in future.
Thank you for your feedback for our small family run business and again, I’m very sorry we let you down on this occasion.

Excellent company
I ordered this watch for my husband as a 40th Wedding anniversary gift. I had our names and date of our wedding engraved on the back.
The watch is beautiful and my husband was really pleased with it.
Ordering online was quick and easy and it was delivered really quickly too.
The watch was a little bit too big, but they included a tool and instructions on how to remove links to make it smaller, which my husband found really easy to do. I would highly recommend this company, as their service is very high quality.

When you reported the issue, we responsed within 24 working hours with a solution of providing a full replacement of the strap which the majority of customers are happy with. In this situation you preferred to return your watch for a refund which is currently in progress. I am a little disapointed that you've chosen to review us negatively, which i feel is a little harsh, as a small family run business we rely heavily on positive communications with customers and I am sorry that you feel so unhappy with the service/product from us but I am not sure what else we could have done to keep you happy. Great quality watch and very special that had it engraved along with a matching bracelet for our wedding day. Amazing how they are made and very lightweight and comfortable when wearing. Love the company replant trees. Beautifully presented in a box. Also great you can buy extra links etc. highly recommend
