THIEVES. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT WEBSITE. I'm an idiot for not finding these reviews before making an order.
I ordered £37 worth of sweets in June and guess what, nothing turned up and emails never answered. Do yourselves a favour and don’t have anything to do with this fictitious company, it’s a total scam. Thank heaven I paid with PayPal…
Like everyone else, I was so excited to have found my mum’s favourite sweet of yesteryear that I didn’t think to check here for reviews.
I nearly made an order last year and enquired if as it was only two weeks before my mum’s birthday was it too late to make an order. I got no reply until two days before the intended delivery. Calvin Moffat apologised for not replying sooner but said my email had gone into spam. Then said not too late he could still do it on next day delivery. I had already bought her something else so bookmarked it as a present for another time.
I made my order on 2nd July explaining I wanted it for my mum’s 70th on the 10th August. Didn’t worry too much as the website was updated on the 20th July and it sounded as though my order number was in amongst those being “processed”. I doubt it will come as surprise to anyone but my mum’s birthday has been and gone and the chocolates are nowhere to be seen. How wrong I was…
I have emailed shop around the corner twice with no response. I have now opened up a PayPal dispute too.
It’s experiences like this that put you off shopping with what seem to be little one man band businesses. I had really imagined that this was a sweet man (a bit like the one from the Werthers butterscotch ads) lovingly making chocolates he remembered from his childhood.
Scam - ordered, nothing arrived after 4 months, no response to contacts, website says processing orders way after mine.
Why Didnt I read the reviews first!!!!
Placed an order on the 26th April 2023, still havent received it, they still havent replied to my emails. Absolute Scam!! DON'T BUY FROM HERE !
I wish i had searched for reviews before ordering.
I ordered 3 boxes of the 5 centres, mid November 2022. As of today i haven't received the order despite paying for it and unsuccessfully trying to make contact via the website and instagram.
I had thought the company may have gone bust, however there is a new introduction page on the website referencing the coronation and dated the 2nd May 23.
I have had no response from this company and will now try and recover costs.
CON ARTIST - AVOID!!
Ordered over £40.00 of goods in late November, still had't received anything by mid March with all attempts at contacting them being ignored.
Finally put a claim into Clear Pay, who were fantastic, in mid March and received my money back last week.
I have also reported this scam to trading standards who will hopefully put a stop to this ongoing theft.
This is a scam, the web site should be removed. Total con. Placed an order in Dec 2022 for £26.00 they also trick you to log in to there web site to check your order. Waited and no delivery and no update emails. More worryingly they have my details. Do not order off this site.
wish I'd looked on here before placing a £35 order as a Christmas surprise for my wife. pretty sure I'll see neither Chocolate nor refund.
This is a scam as there will be no product . Be warned . Ordered from it but no delivery obviously. Ordered July 21 !!!!!!.
I wish I'd read the reviews first.
Put an order in but had no updates.
No reply to email.
Called my bank for a refund.
Still no reply that the order now hasn't been refunded. Does this man ever check emails?
Don't waste your time and money as you won't receive anything!
This is a rip off . I managed to get my money back throu my bank . But I've reported them to the fraud department and hope they catch up with this con person
this is a scam please don't waste your money as you will never receive your products or any refund
Absolutely terrible..do not order from this company.
Placed an order end of November, accepted that I would not get it delivered for Xmas as they are handmade. I emailed February as still not received, got a reply on 11th February saying I would receive in the next few days. It is now 11th March....Still not received, not replying to my emails, my order was over £30.......
Disappointed! Ordered 2 boxes of golden cups for my mother as this was her favourite sweet, near impossible to find finally apprehended it through this company. 31st of December 2021 the order was placed, it’s now 10th of March 2022 and still awaiting delivery.
I’ve emailed the company twice without reply and also contacted through their Instagram page, again to no reply.
Let down after bragging to my mother that I’ve got a nostalgic sweet being delivered for her.
