Didn't think I'd be doing this but I'm writing an addendum to my previous complaint. Surprisingly, after watching my order get returned to sender twice for unknown reasons, the order showed up. The Magazine Shop came through. My thanks to them with an apology. Can't explain the process and why it was messed up - just happy I didn't lose my money.
Placed an order for a Christmas gift for my daughter. It was never shipped. I am opening a dispute with my credit card company. Do not order from this company.
I ordered this magazine onDec 9 to give to my granddaughter for Christmas. I got numerous messages saying it would ne delivered Dec 22, but it WAS NOT! Very disappoinyed!
I have nothing but trouble. I placed an order and tried to cancel after a couple of days which was initially argued eventhough the website clearly states a 7 day cancellation policy. I have now been waiting since the 3rd of November for a refund that was promised within 5-7 days. Nobody will get back to me. Appalling service.
my wife started a subscription over 7 years ago for 1 year for my dad, just by chance we found that they have been taking money out ever since.
Selected CLASSIC AND SPORTS CAR magazine for a Christmas present - paid in November and the January issue (out Dec 6th) was confirmed by email as the first issue. No sign of it so rang today to be told that the February issue is the first one and no, they can't change it. Weren't interested, unmoved by it being required for Christmas, didn't think they'd done anything wrong, so I cancelled the order. I'll revert to buying it annually for Fathers' Day.
Was offered a free mag for practical caravan, so called up to order it. The lady i spoke to told me i could have 2 other for £3 so i accepted this.
I have received just 1 magazine and now they have taken £42.99 from my account without my permission and without any notice.
I emailed them this morning but judging by other reviews i'm not expecting a response.
I have had 1 magazine and paid £42.99 when i was expecting 3 for £3. Absolutely disgusting
Don't waste your time using this company to subscribe to an online magazine, you will only get FRUSTRATED with their whole useless download procedure.
I purchased a digital Formula1 Racing mag as a gift for Father's Day. The kids sent the online "gift Card" because the paper version and confirmation of purchase that was meant to be sent didn't arrive (ordered 10 days ago!). Guess what? The online card didn't arrive either!! So no gift card, digital or otherwise! Managed to muddle through the download of the app, but then you have to register with piixelmag with a code...a code sent to you by Haymarket magazine via the MagazineShop which never get! So Father'sDay started off minus the gift and a VERY frustrated and angry Dad by the end of it.
Don't use this company to send a gift subscription, the receiver will HATE you for it!! It has been a very frustrating experience. We now have to wait until Monday so that my husband can call them to get his codes to unlock his father's Day gift, and the kids feel that they have ruined Father's day for their Dad.
I bought a subscription, and the first magazine was supposed to arrive January 18. Still haven't seen any magazines.
I wrote them an email on Saturday, no reply.
Pushed for answer today, still no reply.
I bought a subscription and made sure i did untick-all newsletter subscription and similar. It only took a few months before they started to flood my inbox with spam anyway.
It is not the way a serious company should act. How can anyone trust them with credit card information if you obviously can not trust them to respect that i do not want spam?
