Quirky and fun

Let’s start by talking about customer service. We was due to visit on Storm Floris day. However we received an email late Sunday evening advising that they had to close on the Monday. These things happen. On the Monday I received a phone call from Darren the Ops manager making sure that we had seen the email and hadn’t hit the road. That level of service is almost unheard of. Top marks.

We was able to rebook for the Thursday which was a relief. When we pulled up I was worried as the car park and overflow car park was incredibly busy. I wanted a great experience as I’d seen this place on all the social media. Fortunately my worry was unfounded as despite how busy it was you never felt like it was crowded. The attraction itself was everything I hoped it would be and more. Full of whimsy and fun. Some of the darker areas scared the younger child a smidge and as a responsible parent I would that amusing. The layout is brilliant full of twists and turns and dead ends.

I would put this attraction on the must visit list.

The only minor criticism I have is that the main cafe closed at 5. We got to the cafe at 10 past and was ready to eat. Such a shame it was closed 2 hours before the park closed.

Would I visit again? That’s the big question isn’t. 100% I would - thinking of a Halloween trip with the missus.

Had a great day with the family today

Had a great day with the family today. It’s a unique place for a day out. Not suitable if you have mobility issues and some small children might be afraid of the dark spaces but it’s the 3rd time we have all been. The first 15 years ago and we still loved it

Allow far too many people in for it to be enjoyable

Went with my partner and we were both very underwhelmed and disappointed. I understand this might be predominantly aimed at children but it was far too busy to be enjoyable. It possibly would have been enjoyable if it wasn't so busy, but with it being a ticketed place I was very surprised they allowed that many people in. Unfortunately would not return unless they alter the amount of people they let in. As it is it was just people pushing past all the time and getting backlogged in most of the parts, making it not a good experience for us.

What a very very overpriced and tacky experience. Two children, 7 and 5 were frustrated and underwhelmed. The statues, walkways and tunnels and “exhibits “ squirting water were poorly created and tasteless, and the whole experience was disappointing . Forcing the exit through the cafe and gift shop simply another way to fleece people. Do not waste your money. Plenty of beautiful natural places to visit in Swaledale for free!!

I was quite shocked at the model of the woman going through the mincer. In a climate where we still have a problem with violence against women, I thought it most inappropriate. If it were anybody other than a white woman there would be an outrage. I wrote to management about it but I have been ignored.

Such an amazing place with lots of secrets to find

Best place iv ever been to full of secrets and riddles and tunnels and hidden ways and the best part is there's no map so you have to discover everything yourself. They change themes in the festive holidays like Halloween me and my partner have been 3 times and we still not found everything on the welcome booklet. It's a very unique and alternative place to explore around in your own time. We will be going again and will definitely be taking family back. Thanks for opening this up the public we both love it there so much.
