I ordered several book nooks and room boxes from Theatee.com on 12/27/23. I should’ve realized there was something fishy as their prices were phenomenally cheap comparatively. Anyhow, they provided me with a tracking number to 17track whereby I found info that this package was “delivered” on 1/17/24 to my mailbox, only it never actually arrived. They told me to check with a neighbor or maybe it was stolen, but my post goes into a locked mailbox, so nobody would have taken it. They told me not to worry, they will file a claim with the shipper. They say “don’t worry, a new package was just shipped”. They say “file a proof of loss report” which is impossible as there was no associated USPS tracking number after it was “transferred” from China Post. So I demand my money back and they ghosted me. Their plan is to keep you waiting long enough that it falls outside the timeframe to file a claim with your bank. This is the worst customer service and I don’t even think it’s a legitimate business. I wish I would’ve listened to my husband and checked it out before buying anything, It appears I’m not the only one who was scammed. BUYER BEWARE! Also, if you do choose to purchase through them, make sure it is with PayPal so you have a money backed guarantee. I wish I would’ve done that…

It is a shame that I even have to give them one star. The only thing this company is good for is scamming people and then shamelessly be dishonest and untruthful in their replies, so they are good at scamming and lying. I will report this to my bank under the Consumer Goods act and send a copy the report to the Embassy of China as they may take action too.

Same as rest, how can visa and all the other credit cards not do anything, email them demanding your money back and logging a complaint

This company stated that my item was in transit in China 27 days alone.After I confronted them on their fraudulent tracking and told them I just wanted my money back they responded with the same text over and over til I finally had it ,now they're trying to claim that if I can't prove loss they're only entitled to send me 10% of the purchase...don't not buy anything from them they're 100% fraud

It’s a fraud. Tracking number works only with chinese mail. Nothing arrives in my homeland, no tracking number. The service contact just wants to stall and doesn’t provide any information.

They are robbing B------s never received my item if you have any sense do not use them

As with many others on this page: the items were never received, the tracking number either did not work or had abbhorent mistakes on it, and the customer "service" was incredibly negligble.

Do not buy.

I wish I had read the other reviews, because Theatee don't deliver anything, nor care when you let them know. Evidently a company of scammers. It supposedly took 12 DAYS to go from the local post office to my home. When I told them nothing was delivered, I got this message:
"Hello, I checked that your package has been delivered. If you do not receive the package, it is recommended that you check the family's community or post office."

Just deflection; NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. And you can't properly track the package from China; no one has liability.

There are a bunch of sites that sell the same junk evidently. They go in and out of business when they get enough suckers. Beware if stuff looks too good to be true, like an "all metal V8 engine" . . . Reddit has a listing of quite a number of sites.

I placed 2 orders within 2 days. I received emails for each order with tracking numbers. I watched their journey for 21 days. It said the items were delivered on 3/10/24. Nothing was delivered. I contacted Theatee and was told I needed to get a 'proof of loss' from the Post Office. The Post Office said the tracking numbers weren't theirs and that I was probably scammed. I made the 2 purchases using my credit card and am now in the process of disputing these charges.

It's a total scam. I got a vague tracking history (without specific US cities) that "tracked" the package and eventually said that it had been delivered, but I didn't receive it. When I asked theatee customer service about it, I got a generic "it's been delivered, check with your post office" reply. I had already done that and USPS didn't even have it in their system. Other reviewers said they got a laminated leaf from Kyrgyzstan. I got that too.

I was ordering "book nook" kits. If you really want one, Amazon has them. They just cost more, which is reasonable. The theatee kits were cheaper, and I thought it was a closeout sale. Working with my credit card company to get a new card # and try to get my money back.

Do not buy anything from them.. total scam. Even their package tracking is bogus. You bring shame on other Chinese companies who honour their customers.

I placed 3 orders with this company (#5121, #2448, #1357) in January, and as of March 12, have not received any of them. I was sent tracking numbers, and it appeared the packages were moving through the system, but when it came to them actually being delivered, nothing. I order online all the time and never have issues with delivery. I contacted the company and they told me to check with the post office. I am going to file a claim with my credit card company to reverse the charges. This company is a SCAM, based on the many other reviews I have read since realizing I was not going to receive any of my orders.
