Good Rental Experience

At Suvarnabhumi, we took over the Toyota Corolla Cross n covered about 1500km without issues. Car was very clean n all scratches were well marked B4 we took over. Car performed well throughout with smooth acceleration n ease of handling after getting used to it.
What impressed me the most was the lady handling over n the man taking over. They were both professional n caring, especially the lady handing over various safety n other advices.

Experience report

Experience report: We wanted to book a car for December. When we were redirected to the payment page, the site suddenly stopped working. So we tried again. This time it worked. Suddenly we had made two bookings at the same time. We reported this immediately. However, we were told that there would be no refund, despite the obvious error on the site.
Terrible customer service. Stay away!

Still awaiting deposit refund

This seems to be a pattern - take a deposit of £109.75 and then not return it within 14 days as promised. I have sent at least 6 e-mails to various departments and no refund is forthcoming. This is theft.
I will never rent from this company again!

Not bad but there are better alternatives

I have rented cars several times from Thai Rent A Car and although I have not had any bad experiences I have always found their staff to be a bit robotic. Once or twice I was a little concerned about the vehicle they gave me and asked if it was possible to change to another and they made it seem like it would be very troublesome. More recently on my trips to Thailand I have started using car rental companies that locals use and found the level of service to be higher and the cars much newer

I have been to Thailand many times

I have been to Thailand many times, and I rented a car every time. Sometimes I rented a car from Thai rent a car. Their cars are quite old, most of them are more than 10 years old. Because the cars are old, the fuel consumption will be very high. In addition, there is no Bluetooth in the car, and music cannot be played from the mobile phone. Now when I go to Thailand, I will try to avoid renting a car from this company.

Still waiting deposit refund after six weeks

Awful from the start. Collection agent was rude and needed customer service training. Car was just okay. Still waiting for deposit to be refunded after six weeks, despite contacting them several times and them confirming it’s done. Managers attitude was just as bad, so easy to understand why the colleague was needing trained

Fake advertising

On their website advertising brand new cars. What I got is a 96000 KM Fortuner from 2019. The car was well maintained but not new.
Next time will choose anorher rental company

Worst car rental experiences ever

Worst car rental experiences ever. Watch out to those who book and pay by the online website, they do not refund on cancel booking or in any circumstances they will make sure to not to pay refund. I do not recommend this Thai local car rental services because of their company policy is shakey.I already have some customer experiences and relationship with this company and it's not good experiences.Use some other international company. I pay my money to company and in return I only got this experiences( No refund or services)

I do not receive the car or the refund money

I do not receive the refund money or the car because I paid with the debit card and the they asked me for the credit card. They said " If I don't have the credit card, they will not pay the car. So, I request to pay the refund, and they said they cannot refund because I paid with the debit card" and "the bank said, they can't do anything about that because the payment is already paid to the other company"
I do not get any refund or the car from the Thai Rent a car. Becareful when you are using their services.If your money is in their pocket, they will make sure that you will do not get refund even if the customer do not receive anything from them .
Watchout when you paid from their website. Their website do not have the refund options like the other websites.
I have every evidences in term of videos and their messages reply.
The worst cases is they will not reply your messages when you asked them to come to their office and talk about this case. That mean they don't care the customers at all.

Watch out for this company

Watch out for this company which works in favour of locals as they always get the new cars and foreigners the older ones. Nothing is true about what they say, including the severe low spec cars available when they have one.
One person promises you one thing to make a booking, and the other lies in your face with some other stories on arrival.
Also in payment of the money they are using some very strange methods.
Better choose an honest, established International company with a name to avoid all these issues.

I have used the Thai rental twice

I have used the Thai rental twice, once at Bangkok and once at Phuket... Both the time i took Mitsubishi Pajero sports. condition of car was almost like new, Just a few thousand kilometres. Staff at both the counter was very supportive. Deposite was just a 5000 baht.(150 $). Excellent experience. Will surely recomend.
100 out of 100 numbers for the pickup and delivery staff members.

Very disappointed car was not the one…

Very disappointed car was not the one we booked, when we asked for replacement to correct car we were told they do not have any available. Booking was made several weeks in advance. If we were willing to wait over half an hour they would provide an alternative car which was no difference to the original one. Car was scratched and dented in the rear end. When we commenced our trip we then noticed no pick up and bad breaks. I would suggest to anyone choose another company. We have used Avis in the past with no issues.

Be wary,

Be wary,
They took money from my credit card to pay for speeding fine. No problem.
Have asked 4 times for verification that the fine was paid.
To date no evidence the fine has been paid so one can only assume company has kept the money.
All they send me is a copy of transaction that the money came out of my account on a Thairentacar tax invoice.

I have used them on around 15 occasions…Great every time

I have used them on around 15 occasions - around every 8 months or so.

I have never had any problems with them although I usually don't book directly with them - I use other booking agents as they are usually cheaper.

They have delivered the car free to my hotel which is nearly to the depot. They respond to the direct emails I send them. Indeed they know me by now as a regular customer and treat me accordingly.

The excess is around 4000 bht - equivalent to around £90. I have never bother with paying extra for 'no excess' as this sum is modest by many car rental standards.

The fuel policy is full to full - great.

So 5 star review from me.

The worst car hire I have ever …

The worst car hire I have ever experienced! The car was scratched and dented all around the outside. The hand over form designed to show marks was a blur of ink. It was their last car and I had prepaid for it via HolidayAutos. Also, I had prebooked a sat nav and they had none. Forced choice to accept it.
