Two issues

Two issues, preordered 100 mixed daffodils, when they came about 20 were soft and had mould on them. Not a good experience. Number 2, Ordered some Martagon lilies, had to call 3 weeks later to see if my order had been received. Today I discovered that the amount I had paid was credited back to my bank account, no email or explanation from tessellar. I think I’m done buying any more from this company. Terrible customer care.

Mouldy bulbs and unsatisfactory plants

UPDATE - eventually, after numerous complaints and emails, I got a refund on the worst items……. STILL waiting on the back order 12 weeks and counting.

ORIGINAL- Waited 8 weeks for bulbs, half the order arrived, the other half are on back order. Some of the bulbs that arrived have mould and soft to touch. Plants arrived in a sad state and one with no leaves. Multiple emails have been fobbed off with flippant responses. The final email I sent told me that it should be okay. But will never buy again from them. Money back guarantee is worthless. Avoid! I am looking into better options.

Poor product quality control procedure

I ordered two packs of 3 calla lily bulbs each, one pack purple and the other, orange. I planted all the bulbs in a large pot. Two of the purple bulbs did not sprout, leaving an obvious, unattractive void in the pot. I requested for replacements but was informed that the bulbs were no longer available, and that I could opt for a refund, or I could wait till next year for a replacement. Very disappointing. There ought to be a better quality control procedure by Tesselaar BEFORE these bulbs are sent out to customers. (I did notice that the 2 in question were mushy, but I took the chance anyway and planted them.) Never again will I patronise this company.

Premium prices for plants that are…

Premium prices for plants that are absolutely tiny. I ordered 4 plants, one of them was half dead. The two that I had been on a waiting list for were no bigger than 10cm off the graft. I followed all their instructions and these expensive plants did not survive.
I sent an email with photos to their customer service department and not a word back. FALSE ADVERTISING- MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IS NON EXISTENT

Nice glossy magazine wonderful photos …

Nice glossy magazine wonderful photos of good looking plants.
Was probably my mistake. Ordered 3 plants 1 Jolly Bee geranium and 2 African spider daisy plants. I couldn't believe what I received. The geranium was just about dead just a whisp of a stem and dead leaves and the daisy plants although looking healthy were so small for the price probably about 70mm pots. Later discovered could buy 200mm pot sized plants from Bunnings at about 3\4 the price. Took photos and sent Email complaining about the condition. Was told that for this time of year the geranium was a semi evergreen plant would die back and go dormant. In my opinion shouldn't be selling these type of plants out of season (not without warning anyway). Tone of Email gave me the impression that they couldn't really care even thought they offered for me to return the plant free of charge just parcel it up with a note explaining the problem. Wouldn't be any plant left by the time they received it let alone the time and hassle of returning it. Have purchased plants online from another company and those were excellent and well priced. Replied to their Email with "So be it will be a non returning customer remember about word of mouth" Wish I'd read other reviews before ordering.

Never again - I got Tesselaar bulbs for 16 years

I ordered my bulbs early. I was sent what I thought must have been the scraps from the bottom of a box. I contacted customer service at Tesselaar. They said that all bulbs should grow. Huh. I paid a premium price for daffodil bulbs. I got tiny pieces from a main bulb, a few reasonable ones AND 20% were squishy and soft - 2 were total rubbish and flat But apparently I don't know as much as customer service who said everyone is having bulb problems. HELLO! Then sell them off cheaply. Don't pass them off at premium prices per bulb to dedicated knowledgeable gardeners and then tell me all growers have the same problem. Just because we are invisible mail order clients does not make us stupid. We know when we are being stiffed.

Hippestruam. Bulbs online very small

I bought 7 hippestruam. Bulbs online with postage $58 . Two of them were $9 each and measure 30mm around the middle of bulb so very small I was expecting for the cost that they would be a deceint size for sure .only two in the order were ok size. Also one looks bit rotten it may shoot who knows?? I complained as soon as I received them and was told happy gardening they couldn't care .i won't be ordering anything else from tesselaar in the future .

Avoid online buying at all costs!!

Buying from Tesselaar online can't be a bad expensive experience. I recently brought bulbs that were advertised on their site only to discover weeks later they had sold out via letter. They informed me the refunded the cost to my credit card but that is not good enough!!! They have only credit card payment options and when a purchase is made via credit card then a charge of $33 is demanded for each charge. I have now paid that charge but don't have anything for it. This is wrong.
Also the bulbs are NOT in a good condition. Some packets have rotting bulbs others just don't have the amount they are suppose to have in them. Yes they will replace them but it is just plain too bad for me if they no longer have any to replace them with, which happens ALL the time. Certainly won't recommend them to my friends as there is other far better producers in Australia.
