Impossible to contact once they have your money

Happy with the initial installation of improved invertor and batteries initially in 2017, but since realised 2 batteries as recommended was definitely not necessary. The first battery doesn't even half fill. Attempts to contact them since 2018 about a couple of problems which developed have been futile. Number not recognised. E mail not recognised. No response from Facebook page!!!

Sirus Interiors Ltd T/A TESAC

I was sold a device that was supposed to give me an extra 20% solar power from my panels. I found out it did nothing. It cost me £1,800. I wrote to them on 27th June 2017 after a full year of readings to ask for my money back. I was ignored. So much for a so-called guarantee.
I wrote again on 27th October on the advice that you needed a registered letter prior to taking the County Court route. The boss called to see me and asked me if I had not considered that it may be my inverter. They would fit a new one and we would monitor it over the next couple of years. He would send me an email to arrive that Monday with the details. It never arrived. So I got another solar engineer to remove the device I had been sold and monitored the situation myself. This cost £80. It proved the inverter was just as good as it ever was. I now had a foolproof case with all the evidence I needed to take them to County Court. I paid my court fee and have supplied the court with all the evidence. Sirus Interiors never responded and judgement was entered. Then Manchester County Court ordered them to pay me £1,991 on the 7th November 2019.
You would think that having disobeyed the County Court they would have them prosecuted and locked up. However, it is then referred back by to me to decide which of four avenues I would like to pursue. I opted to go for a “Warrant of Control” so the bailiffs would go in and seize goods to sell. This cost me a further £110 which was to be added to the defendant’s bill making the total payable to me by Sirus Interiors Ltd as being £2,101. This was issued on 31st January 2020.
I have since found out that the firm was in ‘Voluntary Liquidation’ on 6th January 2020.
I have always been a firm believer in consumer rights and that individuals would be protected against rip off disreputable firms, but my faith is now not as strong as it was.

DO NOT DEAL WITH TESAC, THEIR ADDRESSES BELOW

My partner and I were present at the meeting between Mr Paul McMann of Tesac trading under SIRUS INTERIORS.
I discovered that the solar system was inefficient and worked out that the device called an inverter had malfunctioned. This device converts solar electricity to useable electricity to feed into the national grid.
I Googled local solar specialists and found the web site for TESAC I read their site and duly filled in an online form. I also contacted another company with the same request.
The very next morning I got a phone call from a lady from TESAC saying they just happened to have a rep working in the area and said that Mr Paul McMann would call at 11am the 1st April 2019. I thought that was very efficient and told my partner.
Mr McMann arrived as was stated and checked the system and was told us it did need a new inverter and I mentioned that I was contemplating on storage batteries for the system. He said that it was possible and checked our layout to make sure they would fit and also went through our paperwork we had for the solar system.
Mr McMann went through the prices quoting £5,800 and they could fit them the following week, my partner said she was not happy at the price so I asked if TESAC Could fit it for £4,800. Mr McMann said he wasn’t sure but would phone his boss. While Mr. McMann was out I said that it would be a good deal but my partner said she wasn’t happy and wanted to wait.
Mr McMann returned and said his boss was happy to do it for £4,800 but only if we paid half before 4pm and the rest after completion but after 4pm it would be £5,800 because he would have to come back at a later date. I said I thought it was a great deal but my partner wasn’t sure and wanted to wait. I persuaded my partner it was a good deal and she reluctantly agreed and Mr McMann duly filled in the paper work. My partner was still not happy but filled in the cheque made out to SIRUS INTERIORS the trading name for TESAC and gave it to Mr McMann who then left.
It wasn’t till the next day I had a good think about the agreement and had time to think about how the system was sold to us, I felt uneasy about it. I also typed the TESAC name into GOOGLE and came across a lot of negative reports that I had never seen before. The more I thought about it I knew that I had been a bit hasty. I looked at the paperwork and it said I had a fourteen-day cooling off period.
I told my partner that I wasn’t happy and so I phoned up the number on the form. The date was 3rd April 2019 at 10.30am. The person at the other end seemed to be in a kitchen with the tv on, I told the gentleman who I was and that I was cancelling the contract and was sending the cancelation forms duly signed. The gentleman said he would pass the message on and someone would be in touch.
I was surprised to get a call from Mr. Paul McMann he wanted to know why we wanted to cancel. I told him I wasn’t happy with the situation and that I wanted the money back. He said they would do the job for the total we paid of £2400 which would be a loss for them but only if we gave them five stars on TRUST PILOT. I had not heard of TRUST PILOT.
I told Mr McMann I still wasn’t interested and insisted we wanted the money returned, Mr McMann just said he would have a word with his boss and put the phone down.
I was interested in TRUST PILOT and found the site and typed in TESAC and to my horror found a number of negative reports and a few positive ones. There seems to be a pattern of behaviour noted of either bad jobs, poor materials or just taking money and doing nothing. I have now found out that TESAC seem to have disappeared from the registered address, although the web site is still saying that they are at the same address and to date still taking people’s money.
We filled in the cancellation form on the 3rd April 2019. This was duly posted, received and signed for on the 4th April 2019 at 10.16am, well within the stated time frame allowed for consideration, at 9a Bridge Street, Ramsbottom, Bury BL0 9AB.previous letters issued by the court came back “gone away” we also contacted TESAC by email on the following dates 3rd April 2019 at 12.46BST, 22nd April 2019 at 20.47 BST, 28th April 2019 at 15.01 BST and finally on 13th May 22.57 BST.
On the 15th May 2019 at 00.24 AM we decided to take legal action
To this date TESAC have never been in contact to return the monies …
We took them to court and surprisingly, (not) they didn’t turn up and we won…After some detective work these are the addresses that “THE SHERIFFS” will be visiting, Hopefully a film crew as well. MR PHILIP HILL,5 ASHHURST ROAD, WIGAN, LANCASHIRE, WN6 0SD and the owner Director MR THOMAS HILL,12 APPLETON GROVE, WIGAN, LANCASHIRE, WN3 6NY..MERRY CHRISTMAS PHILIP AND THOMAS because you wont have a prosperous new year and the police will be informed……

2 years and I have given up

This is a review about my experience after the installation of the inverter and batteries system only to be told that head office would give me details of how to get the system to talk to the network. All these years i have been trying to get my my computers to talk to the storage system got sod all help from them . I'm disabled I'm not going to be able to get up and down in the loft. While it is true that installation as it is it's fine and also the system appears to be ok the installers did not attempt to hook up system to my computers . Just been able to see that it appears to Work by observation of my immersun display panel and the solid red light on the meter box. And also there was the £200 LED free packages of lights including fluorescent tube LED replacements. When I rang CEF electrical wholesalers they said that they had not been been paid by tesac so the order was short. They also told me that tesac has gone bust. Funny weird things happen when you try to phone them up. I would be really grateful to anybody who can help me get the computers and their software to each other. I feel my enjoyment of the system has been affected by the lack of caring of these people

9 months of energy lost

my solar system has not worked this year and the only person that is bothered about it is me.I can no longer get in touch with any one at this company because the number on the website is unobtainable, but that does not matter due to the fact that if they did get back to me it would only be lies and excuses.one of the other reviews expected seeing them on rouge traders so I contacted them and I suggest that if you have a valid complaint then contact rogue traders and the more interest we can stir up the better.I am now looking into buying my own inverter and getting an engineer to install it.I have already lost more money on feed in tariffs than the cost of me paying for it myself.

No guarantee of confirmation of payment

I had my installation date cancelled 4 times before they came and fitted my solar panels and batteries on 5th August 2019. Still not have any confirmation of my payments or guarantee and the account managers direct mobile phone seems to be switched off. Did not get 3.4kw which I was quoted for but 2.7kw. At present working fine but very worried if anything goes wrong. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

WARNING

Following my previous reviews of this company, I have further information which is important to people considering using this company. On their website, the company listed its principal place of business as 9a, Bridge Street, Ramsbottom, Bury, England, BL0 9AB. The same address is listed on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) website and on Companies House website. If you check the company's website now there is no reference to the registered office or place of business this is because they were thrown out of the above address and either does not have a trading address or does not want potential customers to know details of their registered address. If anybody knows of the current trading or registered address of this company I would appreciate if they could let me have this information.

Further to my earlier review

Further to my earlier review, and I wouldn't give this company even 1 star!
Out of the blue I had a phone call from John Byrne promising that an engineer would come to fix the problem with the battery storage system to my solar panels on a specified date and the engineer would call the day before to give me a time.
Needless to say no phone call from the engineer and no visit. Another day wasted on this company!
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY.

Had Inverter and batteries fitted in 2018,worked ok for a few months then noticed no solar or battery power. Contacted Tesac loads of times usual answer will get back to you. Managed to contact the fitter who installed them and he managed to talk me through re starting the inverter, but still did not charge the batteries. While all this is happening still no contacts from Tesac.Three months later i contacted civil claims court who very kindly got in touch with them. there excuse was that my name was not on the contract (my partners name was on)so they could not identify which contract ????? even though I had given them all the information and photo copy's. Another 2 months passed and surprise, I got a phone call Mr John Byrne who gave me a load of waffle about why nothing had been done and would contact me the next day to arrange new battery's he even gave me is personnel phone number, but guess What ,he didn't ring back and his number goes through all the same crap as the contact number you ring on the guarantee. To day 1st June 2019 over one year later still no contact. AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

I have one word to describe this company DIABOLICAL. I'm waiting to see them on rouge traders. They put a system in which cost the earth it's not worked and you get no reply from them. They have a Facebook page which when you send a message they might answer but more often they don't. We are starting legal proceedings against them
DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY

They put solar panels on my roof…

They put solar panels on my roof January 2018 no MRC for months after contacting them numerous times so I could join a feed in tarriff. Eventually 6 months later i got it with install date 6 month out of date of the install date. Now i have to pay MCS to ammend the certificate and the paperwork and documents i need is stupid just to change the date. I have trouble with my eyes and seeing document text is hard. So now 16 months on I am still trying to get the documents together to get the date changed so I can join the feed in tarriff with British gas. I just hope they will pay me from the date I registered initially with them. So difficult.
So if these cowboys are still trading keep away and if you've had work done by them I hope you dont have any problems. One big Thorne in my side. KEEP AWAY FROM THEM and sirus interiors also

New solar

Recently had brand new solar panels fitted from this company. The rep was extremely informative and polite and gave me all the facts and figures needed beforehand. They also managed to fit me in right before the tariff ends and I only waited just over a week from phoning to installation. I am extremely happy with the price and the service provided throughout. I was kept up to date at every point. 100% service. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Excellent very happy with my new battery

Excellent very happy with my new battery and service from beginning to end, not had it in long but I can see im using my free electric later on which was the whole idea in investing in a battery the service was brilliant if I had to pick a bad point it would be I had to wait 2 weeks to get it fitted it was explained it was because I chose a Tesla battery which is fine 2 weeks isn't the worst but I like alot of people like to get things done and quickly while I have chance around work I would of preferred a couple of days but as i say 2 weeks wasn't the worst and for the price I paid with all services it was worth waiting.
