Good referencing, defective process
The referencing was professional. The system is defective, wastes the time of clients and TenantVERIFY, and delays the referencing. I applied for referencing on 3/8/21 and received the report 6 days later, on 9/8/21, 4 days later than advertised.
The application form refers to the prospective tenant inconsistently, sometimes as the applicant and elsewhere as the tenant. The application form has 3 buttons at the bottom: Submit, Save and Send Form to Applicant. There are no instructions on which button to press on the form. I pressed Send Form to Applicant and nothing happened. I pressed Submit, was asked to pay, and paid. I tried again to send the form to the applicant but nothing happened. Support told me that I shouldn’t have paid but didn’t explain why the Send form to applicant button didn’t work. They wrote: “It appears there has been a break down in the process, I think this occurs when payment is made before the application is completed by both parties and ready to be submitted. In this case, I would suggest creating a new application, entering Donna’s email address into the relevant form and then scrolling to the bottom to select “submit form to applicant” once this has been completed you will get an email to say that the applicant has completed it. Once you have this confirmation please let us know and we will use the funds you have paid today to process the check. Please ensue you do not make any further payments.” These instructions should be on the application form. I filled in another application form and this time the send to applicant button worked. Then system wouldn’t let the applicant submit the form. By then the first form had arrived so she transcribed the information from the second form to the first and was able to submit it. I then received another receipt from TV although I hadn’t made another payment. After a further exchange of email, TV stated that they’d received only one payment. The system should only issue receipts when payments are actually made. I received the report on 9/8/21, 4 days late.
