Signed up to a free trial and months later get charged £15. Tried to get the funds back as they admitted they do not send any reminders. You have to cancel at the start of your free trial otherwise they take the money regardless and you're not entitled to a refund.

Very scummy tactic to get money. Many other companies offer a free trial and spell out that they will remind you a few times before money is actually taken and even if taken, you still have a grace period to get it refunded.

I was a subscriber for a few years but am so glad I dumped it even though it’s almost free with the discounts they offer you to stay which says everything about how they want to push their anti Russian and pro war propaganda on you. Most other articles are for wealthy boomers protecting their pensions. Not really right wing anymore…. Just pro war mostly

The Telegraph used to be known as the Torygraph. That hasn't really been the case for the last 5-10 years. I can say from experience reading their newspaper and watching their youtube videos that they are fairly unbiased now (not completely unbiased and not always to the right either). Next to The Times, I think this is the closest you'll get to impartial news from mainstream media.

I'd recommend that you always look at the other reviews that those who are calling this right wing have left and look for biases. Normally you'll see that they're heavily left leaning. And of course go and watch a youtube video from the telegraph and verify for yourself where they sit on the political spectrum.

Always pushing hate and lies. Very right wing bias. Aka the Torygraph for its relentless bs content. Fox News in a Top hat. Snobby arrogant and often wrong.

The Telegraph tells the truth so all the isis flag waving terrorist fiddlers do not bother reading this paper or if you are a liberal tree hugging avocado nut maybe stay at home with your benefits money and vote ed davy by post . If you work hard and attempt to prosper buy the Telegraph

Not sure what happened here. I used to read telegraph, but it's now about as bad as the Daily Hate (Mail). Or a UK version of Fox news. It's spreading hate and harmful ideologies to the people unfortunate enough to read it.

I used to like the quality economic and business commentary in the Telegraph and was a long time reader. However it appears to have become dogmatic and idealogically aligned to a rather extreme right wing view of the world. This has tainted what should be objective commentary. If you have ultra right wing views that you need re-enforcing this maybe for you.

Telegraph always publishes racist specifically anti Muslim racist articles. As a young British Muslim every time I read its contents it hurts me, I feel I am not wanted I donnot belong, its very painful. The worst part is they are never accurate , truth is always twisted for racist agendas. It's poor journalism overall.

Offered a free (4 month) trial with no grace cancellation period after the first 2 weeks (who is going to remember that!). Disingenuous and sly, all just to get £15.

I recently accessed an article from The Telegraph via the Google feed, which prompted me to provide my email address to read it for free. However, after submitting my information, I was disappointed to find I was then directed to sign up for a paid service instead of gaining the promised access. This approach felt misleading, as it seemed more like a tactic to collect personal information without delivering on the initial offer. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I invite The Telegraph to comment on this matter.

Was going to cancel subs only due to increased (but not unexpected) subs increase.
Rang DT subs team today and renegoated a fair price and I accepted. No hard sell and agent was very professional as expected.

Don't know why others say they can't cancel subs - yes you can by phone. No business wants to lose paying customers and want you to stay and have a conversation. You can always say "no thanks" and cancel.
If you want quality jouralism, you have to pay - it's that simple. If you don't - then cancel it's that simple.

Been a reader for years and now I honestly feel like it's affecting my mental health.

Positives: Global Event, Sport, Business and the big issues of the day generally well covered.

However every day (and I do mean daily) more toxic sludge is added to the platform that covers at least one of these topic:

1 - There is no problem that cannot be solved by more tax breaks and support for the poor Buy-to-Let Investors and Landlords.

2 - Millennials and Gen Z are lazy and ruining the country. While never evolving with Technology past 1975 is a touted as a virtue.

3 - Endless Conservative party politics and the willingness to pretend Kemi B is now competent.

4 - Absolutely every single thing the Labour party does or say is wrong. (which is correct 99% of the time, but an honest account of the 1% is important).

5 - "how I'm struggling on £100k" articles / how tuition fees will bring about the apocalypse.

Over 6 months left on my subscription but I'll be uninstalling the App. I don't need this constant bitter and resentful ranting in my life.

I cancelled my subscription recently because, while I had signed up to seek a wider range of viewpoints, the unexpected level of pro-trumpism and borderline climate change denial I found is not something I wish to make a financial contribution to.
Cancelling can only be done on the phone, and boy was it a difficult and long phone call. I can imagine elderly and other vulnerable people being cowed into giving up on cancelling because of the level of assertivness that was required to actually get them to cancel my subscription.

Just horrible. It pops up on my feed when I open a new web page, and not once do they have a positive headline.
These are literally the taking points for that one horrible man that sits at the bar in the pub. Urgh.

top tip - avoid subscribing to digital/app - its a scam - editorial may be great but digital service is poorly managed and difficult to cancel once they have your credit card details - i am 12 minutes into a conversation whilst i type and they refuse to cancel my sub until i provide them feedback on whether i have 'enjoyed' the content so far....
