I had a very disappointing experience with Teknikfix.

Last year, I had the battery replaced in my MacBook Pro 13-inch (2018). Before agreeing to the repair, I specifically asked whether the replacement battery would be a genuine Apple battery, and I was told yes.

I paid 1,990 SEK for the replacement, trusting that I was getting a genuine Apple battery.

About a year later, I opened the MacBook to clean out some dust and was shocked to discover that the battery installed was not a genuine Apple battery. It was a third-party replacement. The battery also appears to be a much cheaper aftermarket battery rather than the genuine Apple battery I was told would be installed.

What bothers me most is that I specifically asked whether the battery was genuine before paying, and I was told that it was.

Teknikfix is an independent repair company and not an Apple Authorized Service Provider, so if you choose to use them, I strongly recommend asking exactly what parts they are going to install and verifying that yourself.

For me, this is a serious issue of trust. Be careful, ask questions, and check the parts yourself before accepting the repair.

I'm sharing my experience so other MacBook owners can make an informed decision.

The staff at TeknikFix are knowledgeable, helpful and very service-minded. Not only that, they solved my various pc problems very rapidly. I am a complete beginner with technical issues and it was an enormous relief to get the help from some experts who really knew what they are doing. I warmly recommend them.

Went there with a broken laptop and no hope. The gave me 4 different options for fixing it in different price ranges.
When I came back, they had fixed my computer better than expected, even cheaper than anticipated. I know where I'll go to fix my computer and phone now.

The guys are absolutely brilliant. They have helped twice when I was blocked.

I dropped of my aging Lenovo X1 Carbon with a glitchy screen and was told they would contact me in 2-3 days with a diagnosis. A full week goes by so I call them to see what's going on. They can't find a 4K screen like I have and offer to replace it with a lower resolution screen. I don't want that so I go pick it up.
I pay, and take my laptop home.
When I boot, there is an error about the cover having been removed, fair enough, but it wants a password for the BIOS. I never set a password, and the machine was a custom build with no previous owner, so I call the shop to see what's up. Maybe the tech had to set a password to do some diagnosis or something? Nope, they don't know what happened, just repeatedly tell me the BIOS is locked, which of course I know.
They do this for a living, and I saw a few of my model computer on sale in the shop in used condition, so... they are familiar with it. If they knew this would happen, why not ask the customer to set a BIOS password? If they didn't know, why did they agree to do diagnosis on an unknown or unfamiliar model computer?
I gave them a computer with a faulty display, they gave me back a brick.
From other reviews it seems they are good at fixing stuff, but from my experience I'd say don't give them you're not willing to throw into the fire.
Now I have to buy a new computer.
