A brilliantly intuitive musical education tool

A brilliantly intuitive and detailed resource for fun and interactive music lessons in the classroom. To top it off, the service from the team has been top notch. Emailed for a log in on a Sunday as I have the dreaded COVID and they went above and beyond to ensure I knew what I was doing. Can't wait to get started!

An excellent resource

An excellent resource. I've been struggling with setting meaningful KS3 homework that I can keep on top of marking-wise for years now, and TeachingGadget is not only meaningful homework, but allows for students to improve on their work, whilst also being enjoyable for them. It also has the huge benefit of doing my marking for me - I would highly recommend TeachingGadget!

Brilliant resource

Brilliant resource. Using it with KS2, advanced theory pupils and those who need games to help them learn how to read music. There is something for everyone. I would highly recommend it. Elliot answers any questions very quickly and is extremely helpful!

Fantastic online resource

Fantastic online resource. We have started using this with out KS3, mainly to develop understanding of notation. The tracking tools are incredibly helpful. Very user friendly, and the system of one log in works well. One of the best resources for quick data tracking - have just renewed for our second year.

Very impressed with Teaching Gadget

Recently started using Teaching Gadget with my KS3 students. Great way to motivate them to learn to read music through the interactive games. Also with the tracking I can see who is engaging and how they are progressing. Very useful when you teach over 600 students in two weeks. A fantastic resource.

Brilliant

I have been teaching music for the last 20 years. This is by far the easiest, user friendly program I have used to support pupils learning. I particularly like that you can get a view of pupils understanding really quickly through the tracking and the vast amount programs available.

Absolutely excellent online music resource

An absolutely excellent online music resource which we use daily as part of both in school teaching and online work from home.
Pupils seem to really engage with games and get very competitive - They don't even realise they are learning!

Incredible resource!

Teaching Gadget is by far the best resource I have purchased in my teaching career. I regularly use this for starters and revision in KS3 and KS4 and my students love it particularly the ease of it whether on their phones or computers. It's great that I can track them so easily and use this for quick, low stakes assessment and to provide focus. I would wholeheartedly recommend this!

Completely brilliant resource

Completely brilliant resource. I use it every day with all year groups. All years are totally engaged with this - both as a class in class, individually and for independent learning at home. Excellent for frequent low stakes testing and well worth the premium membership to be able to see results by class.

Use in my teaching every day!

I use this with pupils from years 5 to 8. My pupils have benefited hugely from Teaching Gadget. I use it as part of lessons and for homework. Love the fact that pupils get immediate feedback and is excellent for differentiating learning. Helps pupils to see their own progress and I can keep scores as evidence of learning.

Fantastic Resource!

Teaching Gadget has been immensely valuable this year. I used it during lockdown to easily set tests for students. Tests are self-marking, and you can easily produce a spreadsheet with all results - such a time saver. There are all kinds of different tests that you can set, as well as classroom resources you can use in lesson. Now out of lockdown, I will be using them for homeworks as well as for starter activities in lessons.
Elliot is extremely helpful and replies super quickly to all questions/queries. He adds new games/quizzes regularly and posts on facebook when he does so that you know what has been added. He is always open to suggestions and I know has created games/quizzes after members mentioned they would be useful.
The site has also recently started to run competitions, the most recent one had over 10,000 entries from all over the world, and the winning school received a hamper of musical instruments/accessories, the winning student received a voucher, and the top students in each school received certificates. Very motivating and engaging. I would recommend this site to anyone in music teaching, either classroom or peripatetic.

This has been a literal lifesaver this…

This has been a literal lifesaver this year in Distance Learning due to the Pandemic. It is simple to send students the direct link to the quiz or game I’d like them to practice on, and it’s easy for even my youngest students to submit their scores. Elliott has been incredibly helpful in making the North American terminology available in any section that I ask for.. usually within a couple hours! Talk about a quick response time! This site is such a great wealth of material and I would recommend to any Music teacher!

A richly musical resource!

A richly musical resource that is affordable for schools. Easy login for students and manageable tracking for teachers. Teaching Gadget customer service is excellent, too; I've been in touch about a resource I would find useful to support my classroom teaching and within 12 hours it was on the site!

Teaching Gadget - excellent resource

Teaching Gadget has been a great addition to our school resources. It has been a real help during lockdown but I am sure we will make significant use of this platform as well when the lockdown is over. Fun, accessible and easy to use for pupils and staff!!
