Living in an incomplete house and am very dissatisfied with their costumer service! I wouldn’t recommend this home builder to my worst enemy
Part of my roof is missing
Part of my roof is missing, and the paint on my house has faded. Did TM coin the phase "America's Builder"
I live in a glorified apartment that cost over $200,000. I can hear people use the bathroom and when the toilet is flushed. Never buy a new build.

Update 4/20/23- We have now lost $80,000 because this home is horrid and we had to back out. I will update if TM is honest and reputable and returns our money, but for now they are ghosting us and have fixed nothing. All concerns were ignored. Contractual meetings? Nope- they missed them. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! I am an RN, my Mom is retired and elderly. She moved up here recently so that I could help her. The money they are refusing to return is her contribution from her retirement savings. I am disgusted. See pics below- I have hundreds.
Original post: Just wanted to post a fair warning for anyone looking to purchase/purchased and not yet closed on, a Taylor Morrison home. We have had the most horrible experience with them. Just horrible. LONG story short- some of our design center options/upgrades have been completely ignored. Options we opted out of, and were assured would be left off of the home, are there anyway. The work is crap- crooked walls, a crooked bathtub, cabinets that don't fit right, woid flooring that does not even meet the walls- the list goes on. And on. It is a literal mess. When we contacted our superintendent, we got a bunch of lip service, yet nothing was fixed. He also told us they had "never finished a basement before"- uhmmmm?? So, we contacted the VP's in the area. We received a response from the construction supervisor. Her basic response was that all of this was completely normal!! I have had many homes, none of them have had crooked foundational elements... on top of everything else. It is stressful enough buying a new house, it is horrible having to fight with the builder to get it right. This is almost a million dollar home, that I would not pay 1/4 of that for at this point. Please, please, please, be warned. If you or anyone you know are buying a home from them, do VERY thorough checks. Or, find a different builder. We are set to close in a few weeks. Hopefully, this nightmare will be fixed by then. But I kinda doubt it. Thanks, Taylor Morrison, for ruining our dream home experience during an already hard time.
Terrible- scammers
Terrible- scammers. Do NOT buy a TM home. 32 items identified at Closing- still not done 13 months later. Tile, windows, sinks, cabinets, grading / elevation, screens, pavers, complete tear out if guest bathroom - cost us $1000 - despite warranty??? Several letters to CEP - no reply. They DoNOT care!!!!! Lied about lawsuit by HOA on TM - overcharging fees for years. New highway right outside gate- not informed of this!!!! 6000 homes by TM to be built across street - not informed. LIED about amenities.... could not even get home painted correct color- did not care!!! Run from TM - insurance company cancelled on their Warranty Dept. all lies - scams to get your $. Sloppy workmanship- materials. Do NOT buy in Solivita.... great people but TM owns amenities.... going to raise HOA. Large number homes already up for sale.
Stay away from this builder
Stay away from this builder. Their home building quality and warranty service is an absolute trash. I am so frustrated having to choose Taylor Morrison as my builder. Half of the options that we chose during our initial design are not installed properly. Because of their mess up they removed my home hardware so many times that now every hardware is either loose or wrongly installed. I am frustrated having to create service warranty tickets on the same item multiples items. They fix one thing and break something else nearby, hence so many warranty tickets. I wish I knew about their terrible workmanship prior to purchasing a home with them. If you want a peace of mind please avoid this terrible builder. You have way better builders out there who can build a better quality home for same or less price than these incompetent people.
Nightmare Experience
Absolute nightmare experience in Jade Ridge with the Home Warranty division. Tommy O’Brian and David Schruhl are horrible people. Avoid TM homes! They’re built CHEAP!!!
Would not recommend
Would not recommend! They use cheap, unskilled labor and what you’re left with is things like $12,000 in hardwood floors that need to be replaced after 7 years because they were installed poorly. During the build, we had so many mistakes that needed to be fixed, including not putting a door in our garage, putting wrong stone on our entry arch (twice) it was a nightmare.
Taylor Morrison Staff is Exceptional
Taylor Morrison has built my new home and it is awesome. The quality & friendliness of the entire staff & process was amazing from the start. They accommodated many requests. The speed of the build in this Plandemic was amazing. The different trades worked one after the another flawlessly with no delays, oversights nor mistakes. The Sales Manager Liz , John, The Superintendent Scott & Design Center Ultra Nice professional Lalaine all show at Palmer Ranch Heights, North Las Vegas NV a commitment to excellence & take pride in the company. Their knowledge at every phase & helpfulness was exceptional. There were absolutely no high pressure tactics as I experienced from other large Home Builders I.E. " You have to go on a long list wait months & take what we have available if we contact you." Job Well Done Taylor Morrison. North Las Vegas Nevada.
not reliable builder
not reliable builder. over rated and over priced builder. below are few things I saw in new home
-windows are sound proof, I can hear people taking on street
-wall thickness, I can here water flushes from dry wall from first floor when I sit that ground floor
-wiring god help us, don't know what/how they installed, my dryer stopped working then I contacted them they said faulty appliance and even after replaced it still not working.. then we found that wiring in the outlet is faulty. overall stupid builder and cashing on this demand of homes.
Don't let their great reputation fool you
Don't let the great reputation fool you, once you sign your contract, they do not care about you. It reminds me of a sleezy car dealership, they will be your best friend until you move in, then they couldnt careless.
I have a patio floor that had cracked open...obvious safety hazard. I figured this would be part of the foundation warranty, but they claim its not and is only good for 1 year. I dont feel as though after three years your patio concrete floor should fall apart.
Of course I called their warranty team and they treated my like a joke, just simply restated its not covered. DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPAIR IT! Its been 3 years and a concrete floor is coming undone...thats just shoddy work. Buyers beware!
