I like the use of AI to give me questions which I previously got wrong but it is frustrating if I still don’t get them right. Also some of the questions are worded confusingly. Overall though, I like... See more

Quite good but could use improvement

It’s not bad it’s just when your on the ai thing to help you if you keep saying “is it a?” She/he will say no until you get it correct. I think this app is great but it should add something. When it’s a choose question like say for example. “The dog” it gives you 2 options “sat” and set” and the other sentence to finish it is “on the” and the options are, “flor” and “floor” say you get 1 right in the first one but on the second one you don’t get it right it should we 50/50 not just wrong cause it’s not fair that you got 1 correct and 1 wrong and it just makes it wrong. Love this app, add some improvements!

Waste of time and money!

As a qualified and experienced English teacher from the UK, this app is absolute rubbish, in my opinion.

Previously, I used this app for my students homework and thought the reports were useful. However, as a parent seeing my child use it, my opinion has changed.

It doesn't grade language or adapt to the reading level of the user. It simply regurgitates questions they got wrong. I subscribed to the app for my 8 year old, and the reading level exceeds 12.

The app doesn't teach knowledge or explain anything, it just links to BBC bitesize, a free service that is unavailable in the country I currently reside in.

The app is expensive for what it is, and it has fallen behind compared to what is now available in the online education industry. Schools who use this app need to ask themselves if generating data and reports is more important than their students actually learning.

Poor implenttation

Good concept. Poor implenttation.

1. Give me more points per question
2. Word questions better
3. Focus more on correcting than punishing when people get questions wrong.

Reply from Tassomai

Thanks for your 4* review Emma, much appreciated! Just to clarify something re Mai, our AI-tutor... All students who get Tassomai through school can use Mai 4 times each week (2 x to ask for help with a quiz and 2 x to get an error explained in detail). Private subscribers have unlimited access to Mai. The reason we cap school usage is because there's a cost to us when Mai is used, and school subscriptions are much lower than private subscriptions so they don't cover this cost. However we do allow parents of students who get Tassomai through school to upgrade to 'Mai Unlimited' for £3.99 a month. There's info about Mai here: www.tassomai.com/mai.

Tassomai has been a really helpful tool

Tassomai has been a really helpful tool throughout Year 11. The daily quizzes made revision feel manageable and kept me consistent without getting overwhelmed. It helped me identify my weak areas, especially in science, and gradually improve through regular practice. By the time mocks and exams came around, I felt much more confident. It’s a simple but effective way to stay on top of revision.
