Horrendous company
Horrendous company. Was one of the people who got fooled into changing from O2 to these people. Although I am paying less than I was when with O2 and my phone services work with no issues, the customer service is absolutely horrendous. A payment somehow bounced last month from my account and although I have been trying to resolve this since the moment it happened it has taken three weeks because of how horrendously poor their customer website is and because they have been calling me when I am in work despite me explaining I categorically am unable to answer any phone calls as I can not have my phone on me at all in any circumstance. I have asked today about cancellation and was informed that to cancel I would have to pay approx 331 pounds!!! Absolutely disgusting I would not recommend to anyone and will be cancelling as soon as I possibly can
This is a scam company
This is a scam company. They make impossible to access the account online and will not provide a PAC code to transfer the account.
Claims to be O2
Claims to be O2 offering a better contract deal. Exit fees that are very high, also a false O2 website was used in the process.
AVOID
Hi I was lead to believe that this company was part of o2 same as other reviews, 36 month sim only contract a contract that was over the phone verbally and nothing signed on paper or electronically, i wanted a copy of this so called contract and they could only send me a copy of the welcome letter AVOID AT ALL COSTS PLEASE
If I could give this company a 0 star I…
If I could give this company a 0 star I still think this would be too high! They claimed they were from 02 on the phone and said i was coming to the end of my tariff so I upgraded. The letter came through the post from these guys and I knew they wasn’t O2 so I cancelled straight away they still processed it 3 days later I’ve since gone back to 02 on a better deal. When I spoke to the woman from talk247 she said well you could always stay with us they spam you with calls for weeks.
Get out before your 14 day period!!
AVOID!! scam company
AVOID!!! This company rang my mother last October claiming to be from O2, stating her contract was about to end and needed renewing. They have signed her up to an extortionate 36 month SIM only contract, which I have only just found out about when she said the bill had increased. She honestly believed she was still with O2. Clearly preying on vulnerable people claiming to be a company they are not. Complaint to OFCOM already made, don’t entertain them if they call, they are very persistent and persuasive on the phone

AVOID it's not O2!
AVOID!
They called my husband and claimed to be from O2 and pressured him to sing up for a new sim contract threatening his current one was about to end and would be switched off the next day.
The deal that they got him on was none of the ones that O2 had available and more expensive. We went to the O2 shop to get some clarity on this and were told that O2 do not call their customers so that must have been a scam. A week after the call we received a letter from Talk247 informing us that they have already arranged for the payment to be collected via direct debit. Trying to sort this out...
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE…
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS 'COMPANY'. It is a sophisticated scam system.
The problem is that they misrepresent themselves. They identify themselves as O2. I have been a customer of O2 for 20 years. In late September I got a phone call from what I thought was O2 (it wasn't, it was an outfit calling itself talk 24/7). The person I spoke to said he was an employee of O2. I purchased a lower tariff. I thought I was buying a lower tariff from O2. A week later I received a letter that was an advanced notice of a direct debit from a 'Company' called Talk 24/7. I realised that I had been scammed and I had unwittingly purchased a contract with them. Seven days later O2 terminated my contract with them and I was left without a phone signal. I am still without a phone signal. O2 have not reconnected me despite my phone call to them explaining what had happened. Apparently these criminals had informed O2 that they were now taking over my contract.
I think this scam is perpetrated by a small operation. I have Identified four of the people involved. The guy that 'sells' you the contract; a guy with a posh English accent (which doesn't quite cover his foreign accent) who takes your credit card details; and a man and a woman who telephone you posing as 'customer service'. The woman says her name is 'Jazz' and claims the 'Company' is a partner of O2.
I telephoned my bank, stopped the direct debit they had put on my account and reported the fraud.
I don't intend to give them any money. They have since made threats by text and email and phone call. I get text messages, emails and telephone calls every day. If I paid them some money the harassment would stop. Or perhaps it wouldn't?
By the evidence of the reviews on them here, these criminals have been operating for 12 months. I cannot believe that they have been brazenly operating so long without being prosecuted for fraud. They belong in prison.
I believe that O2 is somehow in on the scam. Some current employees or ex-employees are feeding this 'Company' information. How else would they know to target O2 customers?
This 'Company' has taken advantage of the confusion and disarray that the takeover of 02 by Virgin has caused.
These criminals have caused me so many problems and distress. I am disabled and housebound and depend on my phone. I've been without it now for six weeks. These criminals are this scum of humanity.
I have reported the scam to the Police through an organisation called 'Report Fraud' who are funded by the City of London Police. I urge the victims of this 'Company' to do the same.
Expensive scam - NOT O2
I was called by someone claiming to be from O2.
They had a lot of my information, which I wouldn't expect a company that is not O2 to have so I went along with it until they were asking for my bank details.
At this point I realised this was not Kosher so I didn't give them the remining bank information and asked them if there was a cooling off period. I was informed that I had 14 days to cancel but was then offered a month by month contract so I could see if I wanted to stay with them, in place of the 36 month contract they had been insisting on.
We agreed that they would send me an email and I could contact them with the outstanding information, if I want to go ahead.
The person who was taking the financial details (I had one person call, then pass me to a colleague, who negotiated the prices; they then passed me to a 3rd person, who was there to close the deal) said they are linked to O2 wholesalers and directed me to a wholesale page on the O2 website. I looked at their websites and say no mention of Talk 247 so was more suspicious.
I called O2 and the person I spoke to said they had never heard of these people.
I asked O2 what rate I could get for my current sim only package and it was £8 in place of the £12 that was being offered by Talk 247.
DON'T DO IT!
Avoid this company at all cost's, the have conned me into believing they Are O2, they have put me on a business plan and not a consumer plan without my approval I have been miss sold this contract
Avoid this company at all cost's
New to Talk247
Recently changed over to Talk247 for a new sim only deal, the lady who set me up was great, explained everything really well and explained its a paperless system so everything can be kept in one place.
They have a good variety of deals for all users, flexibility on contracts from 1-month to 36-month. and I still get my O2 Priorities which is a bonus.
customer services have been quick to respond when needed, very polite and helpful.
I dont travel much myself but the explained they have roaming passes and free EU roaming with their deals which are easy to set up.
Overall 10/10 for handling my changeover, I thought it would be really complex but they helped me keep the same number, told me when I would switch and were just very transparent along the way. Would Recommend for sure
While travelling abroad
While travelling abroad, I used a Holafly eSIM which worked perfectly. However, when I returned to the UK and switched back to my primary SIM (O2 under Talk247), I had no connection and no data. After a 14-hour flight, I was unable to contact anyone to let them know where I was.
What I later discovered was that Talk247 had blocked my SIM because I had been abroad. They charged me an extra £10, and because they said I had reached a daily cap, they completely blocked my SIM until renewal.
This is despite the fact I pay £29/month for unlimited calls, texts, and data. I rang customer service three times, but no one could explain what was wrong. I even went into an O2 store, but they told me it was a business SIM through Talk247 and they couldn’t help.
On my final call, I ended up having to explain to Talk247 what the issue was. I was finally told: “your SIM cap is maxed out, so it is locked until the end of the month.” The problem is I hadn’t even used the SIM, and this left me stranded at Heathrow and Dublin airports with no communication path.
When I asked why I was paying £29/month for “unlimited” service if it gets capped and blocked, I was told it’s just an “automated setup” and not their fault. No empathy, no solution, just “that’s how it works.”
I am still waiting on a response from their cancellation team and customer care. So far, nothing except being told that if I cancel, I still owe for the yearly subscription.
This whole experience has shown me that Talk247:
Provide poor communication and terrible customer service.
Block your SIM without warning.
Offer no real support when things go wrong.
I will not be continuing with Talk247. Truly a terrible organisation that leaves customers stranded and helpless.
steal your details and deceive people.
steal your details and deceive people.
when you leave it you will pay lots.
It will be better to leave within cooling off periods after paying one month fee.
MMS will be charged additionally.
If you are late, you will have to pay 36month bills.
Please go back to your provider to ask if it is really them.
AVOID Talk 24 / 7 they are not 02
Avoid Talk 24 / 7 they conned me with a cold call stating that they where 02
I am now stuck in a 36 month contract
The worst part of this is that they only send you a vague text message to say you are running out of data
There is no way of checking how much data you have and once your data runs out they cut your phone off
Only then being able to receive calls even though free calls are included
Con men
Con men, 100% my partner was with o2 network and her contact ended she was talking to 02 who call her and offer her a sim contact only unlimited calls and texts 6 gig data for £20 amonth rip off and it's fix for 3 yours she had 14 days cooling off when I got home and she told me. I said you have been bent over. Buyamobile had a deal with o2 new phone a26 unlimited calls and texts 100gig data for £21 a month. So she rang o2and ask to cancel the sim card which they did she got the phone deal then buyamobile ask for it back after it was delivered as talk 247 cancelled it which is also called circles. Which both piggy back of o2 now she is stuck with a sim card only deal that's a rip off. Talk 247 or circles said o2 can't cancel the contract only we can. O2 impersonators. So when someone says they are o2 don't believe they. When this contract is over we will never use o2 or talk 247 and circles horrible con man. 1053454451 ref number for the mobile and sim deal that talk 247 cancelled
