The Synergy Team at Symless has always responded well when I have had an issue with Synergy.
They even did before I bought the product from them and they still do to this day.
Tech support is usually a mixed bag. You wait and wait and MAYBE the tech is intelligent and doesn't make you feel stupid. I made two (2) chats to Synergy support and was gratified that I didn't waste my time. Excellent language skills and explanations. 6 stars if I could

I wanted to use Synergy between an M1 Mac and a really old Macbook Air, and realized after I'd paid that the current version doesn't work on the Macbook Air's old OS. They found and sent me an older version. That didn't work and they dug up another one which finally did and I'm using it right now to type this message on my Macbook Air through the keyboard and mouse of my M1 mac mini. Prompt responses, polite and no nonsense, persistent. Couldn't ask for more on support.
As far as the software goes, so far so good, testing the rest of the features over the next few days of work. Takes a few seconds to connect if either machine goes to sleep, but that's expected I guess. Connects back automatically though!
Extremely glitchy and unreliable network based KVM. I own the Pro version. I ran a debugger on the software in an attempt to help the developer identify and correct the issue that I was seeing, however he was uninterested in helping. I've since been using Multiplicity, which is a night and day difference from Synergy.

Nico M was amazing, he knew exactly what my problem was, I have been struggling with my Synergy being down for two days, you don't realize what an awesome tool Synergy is until it goes down. There must have been a system update to change my setting because it was working fine. Nico is my hero! Right away he said to check my privacy, sure enough that was it, I was uncertain how to change my Network setting and Nico was already on another chat, so he scheduled a chat session later, but since he told me to check my network and that it needed to be set to private, I was able to take that information and google how to change my network to private. Thank you again Nico! I appreciate your quick response and help.
I had contact with Symless support, they answered me fast and as my problem was not possible to solve with Synergy they suggested to use another software combined with Synergy.
My question was to use hotkeys on 2 game clients on same computer, which Synergy do not support. I have been using Mojo for this but Mojo is not availlable anymore, I will try to go for Auto Hotkey instead as suggested by Symless support.
I have been having a very good dialogue with Symless Support.
Awesome software and even more awesome support. I was having issues and they instantly offered to connect and fix the problem (which they did very quickly). You don't get this level of support anymore and I LOVE it!
I have used Synergy by Symless for a long time. It’s incredibly convenient to have one keyboard and trackpad to control multiple computers. I am having an issue with the hotkey function to jump from screen to screen but that may well be due to my slightly unusual setup. But the Support from Symless has been excellent. They have made suggestions and tried to assist as best as they can. I look forward to the next version which may have a fix for my issue. In the meantime, I just scroll from one screen to the next; it’s not a big deal at all.
