I was surprised by Dr Levy's review. Victorinox offers replacement parts for their knives and an efficiently quick service as well. I just had a couple of deliveries. And, if like me, you've had one of their knives for years and years (I got mine at 17, I'm now 72) Victorinox also have the most efficient and amazing little sharpner which puts a razor sharp edge back to your knife. I've travelled the world with my knife and also have a small one on my keyring. On a trek up the Himilayas in Bhutan, 6 out of 10 of us had a Swiss Victorinox Army knife on us. I discovered this when the authorities fished them from our on board backpacks. (We got them back eventually) If I lost mine, it'd be like losing an old friend.

I have had Swiss army knives for years never had a problem with these excellent knives,my friend bought me a swiss card multi tool and it fell out my pocket and I never realised the switch had fell out ,this item had sentimental value as my friend had a very serious motorbike accident I tried to buy the part but couldn't find it,I contacted victorinox they sent me the required part free of charge

My wife took me to assemble victorinox climber at the flagship store in Oxford Street we were early by 30 minutes but had a look at everything thing in there we was offered water while we waited staff very friendly and made us feel welcome. Time came to build my climber Osmar was amazing he told us about victorinox. Then he went through all the stages of building it he was great not rushing me at all we were chatting about swiss army knifes I I mentioned that I already had a climber that I had modified by watching one of Felix imlers videos on YouTube my blades scissors ext oxidised he was truly amazed and even asked if he could take some photos of it .when I'd finished he even gave me felixs book and a few fragrance samples he really made this day a very special one so thank very much Osman you are a true gent

Service not so. DHL have lost the parcel in their system. Contacted Victorinox to request help. They gave me a tracking number & said I’m better to track.
DHL opened an investigation which going ahead at a snails pace. Called victorinox to try to get a refund but they say I have to wait for DHL investigation to conclude, absolutely no time scales.

The sharpness of these knives is unmatched—I've never had a cutlery set that makes chopping and slicing so effortless. Avoid. I placed an order from a walnut Swiss Army knife for my husband. The personalisation process in onerous, so I gave up. Victorinox have chosen DHL as their UK carrier, which is fine but they’ve disabled all delivery options except signed for. DHL are unable to leave the parcel with a neighbour, or in a safe place and the reschedule option is disabled by the seller. I work full time and DHL won’t deliver on a Saturday, so an expensive gift is floating round West Yorkshire and I’m unable to take delivery of it. Customer services is woeful and the email I sent promises to get back to me within two weeks- so after Christmas. Utterly dismayed. I thought I was buying from a company of world renown. I won’t bother again.
Excellent service
I'm using various tools for several years now and I'm quite hapy. Recently I sent back one of my Cybertool for repair and service. I'm really pleased about the service quality: It took less time as stated before, the returned item is in perfect condition again and the cost were below 10EUR -> perfect!

Strap of my $1000 (!) Victorinox Watch ripped after 6 months after wearing the watch perhaps a dozen times. The strap is made of canvas material as far as I can tell.
At first I was disappointed with the customer service and getting no reply but then Claudia from customer Service got in touch with me and I am getting sent a new strap free of charge. Very happy with both the communication from her and the proposed solution.

Got my first one as a kid from my dad, has always had one and it has been immensely useful through the years. I like tools so i checked what were the alternatives at some points and couldn’t find anything remotely pertinent. I always refuse to have the small one until recently and I accidentally got one gifted as a company gift…. My god it’s useful it weighs something like 50g, super small but sharp blade and scissor. And had the joy to discover on a trip from the UK to Spain that you can actually carry it with you (it was originally not intended), as it’s blade is less than 6cm - the lady at security told me that this is only for travelling to EU thought.
Appalling Customer Service Standards

Incorrect plastic
Incorrect plastic. Drop the knife and it breaks. Using polycarbonate would make the knife unbreakable. Also attention to the products when cleaning the knife. If you use alcohol which is a good sterilizer, the red color will come off on your hands. That said the quality is not worth the price.
Recent poor quality batches and refund refusals
I bought a knife from their website and requested a refund two hours later, they dispatched the knife to me a couple days later anyways. The knife was also of poor quality. I returned the knife and had to pay, despite their claims of free returns, and now they refuse to pick the knife up from the local postage office. So no refund. Poor communication, no replying to emails. The more recent knives i bought from amazon also were poor quality.

The scales are rather bashed now but that's through heavy use.

Customer service in Canada responded and resolved the problem during the weekend! So unorthodox in Canada. They replaced my carry-on's wheels immediately.
When the situation was not resolved, even though an airline might have caused it, they replaced the bag under warranty after 6 years—outstanding customer service and very attentive agent.
Overpriced products
Their products are overpriced. Sadly they are no longer a quality brand. For example they want over $500 (almost $600) for small carry on bags that are low quality and breaks easily. Their fragrances are ok, but that's the exception, and not the rule.
The maverick chrono watch
Purchased a watch as my partner loves Victorinox for a Christmas gift. It arrived next day. The packaging was really nice but the watch was smaller than his other Victorinox watch. At a glance it seemed like a female watch. So I file for return same day following the return process. Mailed it the second day. It shows they received it. 5 business day with RBC refund received.

Didn’t realise I had purchased it from Switzerland and although delivery time stated 4-5 days it took a couple of weeks.
I was kept updated by Victorinox with tracking number and emails.
Finally received my new knife and I’m over the moon, engraving is awesome and the knife is to their usual high standard of quality.
They opened a new store in London so I popped along to the grand opening and I must say it’s great, really nice welcoming staff, well stocked, managed to stock up on the maintainence oil a new pouch and a few other bits and pieces. They even have a work station so you can make an appointment to build you own Swiss Army knife.

1 month on and still not received my order. When you can actually get through to speak to someone you just get fed a load of lies. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Please do not use them this is the second time I have had problems with them.
