Cost-Effective and Luxurious You might not think something can be affordable and luxurious at the same time, but some electric blankets have managed to be both! A combination of advanced, efficient heating elements and plush, cosy fabric means many heated blankets are low-cost to run and sumptuously soft to lie on. All of the blankets above meet our strict quality tests, meaning they're eco-friendly and superbly comfortable. Below, we'll outline how we judge a good electric blanket and a few of the different features you should look out for. Comfort When it comes to electric blankets, comfort is the most important thing! There's a lot that goes into making a heated blanket comfy and cosy, including the fabric, the quality of the heating elements inside it, and the way it fits to (or over) your bed.

Could be better.

Blanket size is a little to wide for a single bed. But my main complaint is the controller. To start with it faces away from you when you go to adjust it, IE, you have to twist it around to face you to adjust it. It should be attached the other way round.
Next, when in bed and you wish to lower the temperature, the heat settings go higher not lower. So to reduce the heat you really need to turn it off and start again, Which means a lot more noisy clicks disturbing my wife...

Excellent

The best electric blanket I have ever had, as it fits across the whole mattress and not just part of it. A lovely warm bed in just 15 min.

Lasts a year or less. Beware!

Material is gorgeous and velvety but none of them last more than a year - IF..... Either the controller goes or the blanket stops heading up. Sometimes don’t last a year. Not buying again. I'm not an enemy of my own money if you get my drift. Not spending my hard earned money on something that gives uk the ghost within a year. It also bunches up and you end up with a thick wedge of wires which can't be straightened out to protect the wires, however much to try.

When I first looked at this blanket I…

When I first looked at this blanket I thought it was expensive but let me assure you it anything but .
No 1 unlike most brands it dosnt have those alfull straps that either break or are not long enough so the blanket moves
This fits like a fitted sheet

NO2 you can set the heat just for your feet or just the top part of your body or the whole of your body

No3. The person the other side of your bed can control their side separately

No 4 it really thick and as almost a velvet feel to it
Definitely worth spending the extra

No 5 most electric blanket say kings size but most are not they are either too narrow or two short this is a true king size and fits just like your king size fitted sheets

If like me if you suffer with fibromyalgia it’s a god send as I can heat up just the parts of my body that iam in pain at the time

I bought the Tontine Sweet Dreams Electric Blanket QB from Woolworths. It was on sale and had the elastic fit around the mattress. The piece where the power cord plugs into the blanket was large, bulky and so far from the edge of the bed it was unusable. So I have no idea how good it is but it’s useless if I can’t sleep comfortably on it. I returned it to the store and got a refund.

Excellent company to deal with

Had an Electric Heated Cushion for a couple of years and loved it. It really helped with my back problems. It unfortunately died and I immediately ordered a replacement. The replacement only lasted 3 months and stopped working. I contacted the company and they sent a new one out straightaway, with no quibbles. Excellent service. Would recommend this company.

Love this blanket

Love this blanket. It fits over the mattress with no annoying corner straps. It’s slower than my old blanket to heat up but I just put it on a bit earlier

So far very pleased with this item - like that it is fully fitted.

I had to replace my Dreamland Intelliheat 16297 King size Size Dual Controls Fleece Electric Blanket as a controller had broken and was no longer a stocked item with a Sweet Dreams Prestige Fully Fitted King Size Electric Blanket - Warranty: 2 Years.
The Dreamland heated up a lot quicker but the new Sweet Dreams has body and feet areas, which are separate so rather good. Works well. I just hope the controllers don't break and fail as they are expensive to replace.

Could be warmer

The heated under blanket is nice and fluffy and fits well. The big selling point was the separate feet and body function. However, compared to other under blankets, it takes a long time to warm up and it's not as warm. At lower temperatures I can barely feel any heat. At the highest temperature, it does eventually get warm but it takes a long time to get there.
