I tried Surge Trader as a prop firm, and signed in for the Starter Lightning Account Audition 25K.
What I found:
- Not many instruments to choose from
- Impossible to trade leverage like the website advertise.
- Lots of system bugs and downtime.
- Many hidden trading rules (not advertised before)
- Positions being shut down automatically
- Customer service slow and unhelpful
- App poorly suited for I phone

I decided to send them then a message to ask for a refund of my account as i did not enjoy the experience, they refused.

Finally, they terminated my challenge as I was going to reach the profit mark 9,32% of the 10% required.

The reason was I did not trade for 8 days instead of 7 maximum days, which is not in the written rules you received.

Be careful with this merchant if you decide to engage with and be sure to know of all the non spoken rules.

To have an idea all the trades I took where making the 10% profit mark of the challenge on their own but somehow I still failed.

It probably takes most of its profits on traders challenges fees.
I am looking for a prop firm to work with on the long run.
I also participated in 3 prop firm challenges and this one is the only one i failed.
I do not trust surge trader as a responsible prop firm.
I advise you not to engage with them and keep looking for another better option if you want to trade successfully.

Amy from Surge Trader has been very helpful in the changeover from MT5 to DXTRADE.

So I payed for my 25k account the money got taken straight out of my bank and then gave me an error saying my billing adress was different, I don’t even know iff there’s an email linked with the account so how am I meant to go about getting a refund or anything, I have proof money has been deducted from my bank

Complete scam. They breach your accounts even if you still have alot of cushion. I had 500k account, I think I still had 10k left- breach! Buy again. Customer service is like sales agents trying to sell. So I was like ok lets try 1mln account. On inflation data, in 5sec I cut my shorts went all the way long , from making 45k I ended up "breached" yet again. Dashboard shows I still have 20k to go down. Customer service ignored for a while. Then they put some guy who could be a good fiction writer. I contested the charges with card issuers and they resolved in my favor. I think they are in TMF - terminated merchant file. Meaning no more easy milking anymore selling hopes while they breaching accounts as soon as that unpleasant lady takes Lamborghini to drive to private jet yard (for instagram show). Now they even switched to virtual funds. Thats how bad it got there. Don't fall into their traps. Btw so called customer service guy wrote me that ETFs they have there is nothing available on tradingview because they manipulate values themselves with large spread. So they can move any direction at any moment regardless of where SPX really goes. Dont forget they actively flag and remove all the negative comments. On Trustpilot, on youtube, on google you name it.

Crazy scam.

Let me guess the response: "Upon review, your account was disqualified, as you exceeded the allowable balance drawdown."

IT DID NOT, i still have on both account left solid amount to go down. See how blatantly they scam?

They sent a reply to my previous review about drawdown then flagged as "hateful", after repost - now no record 😂😂😂

Since you are already trying to remove this review, saying "you trying to understand the review better", accounts are: 9509618 and 9509068. Do you want me to start posting the screenshots of dashboard and emails with your fiction writing guy who wants more $?

For instance for 1mln account: account equity is 969.798.01 to "breach" the amount should be: 935.024.04 (11k left on daily), account status: breached. Dont forget also the fact that it should have been 1,040,000 if you executed orders on timely manner. It was what... 1-2minute delay and slight miscalculation (Remember the Surgetrader guy names Cameron Teeters told me that there is no match on tradingview charting because they run the values as they want) to disqualify the accounts asking for $ ? lol

For 500k, 479,239.60, breach level is 460,000 (3k left on daily as well)

Think about it.... Lady drives Lamborghini for a show to a yard, they use virtual funds(during my days they were boasting to be the broker who funds traders with REAL FUNDS), highly manipulated charts, showing payouts making 100-300k, and cant accept credit card payments according to other reviews... so how do they make profit? Think about it...

I have purchased a challenge from them and they did not give me the login credentials after I reclaim back they said they want the order number and they want information but I told them I did not get any information by email. They told me I should got an email from them with the order number at least but I did not get anything, after one day they said they have found that I have purchase and the payment had canceled from their side and they want to refund me back my money they told me I need three days after three days I contacted them and they started to say that we need three business days after three business days I have contacted them they told me they need from 3 to 5 business days And I’ve been in five business days and no money got back. I’ll try to contact them by email and chat. Nobody answers me.

I just passed phase 1 of my evaluation and received credentials for phase 2 right away. My experience so far has been great, spreads are really competitive and execution of trades is above average (compared to other firms out there). Hopefully I'll get funded soon!

The person that assisted me was Bradley Newman, he was extremely helpful, gave me a quick response a few other people I dealt with kinda made me feel like I was inconveniencing them when I was just looking for a simple response. Bradley was helpful polite and very informative. Easily the best customer service rep I’ve came across with surge trader.

Passed my lightning round audition now all of the sudden I have to wait 2 weeks to trade. What was the purpose of me buying a lightning round. They need to stop taking people's money while they make the so called transition. They should not be taking in any money right now while they can't offer any accounts. I just wanted my money back after I received the email after passing and they say no refunds you will just have to wait 2 weeks. I can only imagine the people that have gains in their accounts. Is the money frozen? Please fix this. Or give me my money back, I already passed.

SurgeTrader is an excellent company. I was delighted when I passed my audition. It might seem a bit difficult but you just need to have a strategy that includes very strict risk management and be able to calculate the risk every time you open the trade. After two weeks of trading I requested my first payout which is sent to Rise platform where you can withdraw via crypto or bank transfer. I waited few days for the funds to show up on the platform and I started to panic a bit thinking that maybe I'm not going to receive anything. However the support from SurgeTrader was brilliant, they always got back to me very quickly when contacted via online form. I have to say special thank you to Brad Newman who followed up on my query and got it resolved in just few hours. Today I have received my first payout and I couldn't be happier after achieving this first milestone. Also, the option of instant crypto withdrawal via Arbitrum network is brilliant. I now have full confidence that this company is genuine and I can continue to trade without any worries. They are truly excellent and their support deserves 5 stars. Highly recommend them to anyone that wants to start their trading journey.
