Have come back to Surf Ex a few times and always love it. Comfy accommodation, nice relaxed vibes, great surf guides for the surf safari weeks but also the lessons are great even if you’re not a beginner (great selection of foamies and hard board, teachers are awesome).

Had one session in some pretty big waves where I didn’t think I’d be able to make it out back, but the instructor coached us through it and explained how we were going to use the rip and made it super easy.

Food never disappoints - never fancy but always delicious and filling.

Overall great value for money! Definitely one of the cheapest camps around but the quality of surf instructor and amount of time in the water isn’t compromised.

The guys take a lot of time selecting the right beach for each days session. The beaches are super close on the south coast or super scenic on the west coast - I don't know anywhere more beautiful.

Lagos has so much to offer and The Surf Experience is in the very centre so everywhere is within easy walking distance. You can even see the town square as you walk out the door!

Every night it's something different - drinks in the rooftop bar, a group BBQ or a themed meal, dinner out with fellow surfers (the restaurants are superb!), take it easy, or explore this lovely and super safe city for yourself.

People keep coming back again and again so there's obviously something special about the place and it's always nice to see familiar faces.

Give it a go and see why everyone falls in love with the Algarve and super nice Lagos.

Always felt safe in the water and it was fantastic to have the Surf Experience staff on hand to advise on all things associated with our holiday

Incredible stay at this surf camp and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. The accommodation was spot on—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located so you’re never far from the beach. It felt like a proper home base to relax after long days in the water.

The instructors were next level. Super knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping everyone improve, whether you’re a total beginner or already confident on a board. You can tell they love what they do, and it makes a huge difference.

Food was another highlight—fresh, filling, and seriously tasty every day. Exactly what you need after hours of surfing.

Everything was so well organised from start to finish. Transfers, surf sessions, equipment—it all ran smoothly without any stress, which meant we could just focus on enjoying ourselves.

Couldn’t recommend this place more. Amazing vibes, great people, and an experience I’d 100% do again.

Had a great time with this lot, everyone was so friendly and welcoming (and helpful as I’m so bad at surfing), was very fun and learned a lot — hopefully will be back!

Really fun crew and they take extra measures to make sure this is the best possible surf experience in Europe. I've been back a whole load of times and it's always a great way to surf, meet people, and completely unwind from the world back home. A lot of attention to detail, no weird vibes or a feeling that the guests are 2nd priority. It's an amazing formula they've pulled together and I hope it lasts forever.

Opportunistic, only care about money. Death in my family and kept money for the week even though service was not provided. Be careful do not give them cash. Weird vibe, stay away.

Would not reccomend staying here. Made us feel uncomfortable. not coming back thats for sure!

Wouldn’t recommend got some really weird comments from the owner and didn’t feel comfortable at all. There is so many nicer places in Lagos would totally recommend to look around for a better one..
