Take advantage …
I am extremely unhappy with Supersure renewal quote.
I am unable to get a lesser cover bespoke to my wish this year without the price going up.
They say on their web pages: "Take advantage of our bespoke cover for your Swift caravan."
This evening 14/12/22 is the expiry day for my insurance policy.
I have yet to renew.
Their renewal quote is expensive and not for the cover I prefer.
I have been made to feel very pressured.
"We're always keen to improve our service, and would love to hear your feedback "
They ask for feedback offering £25 as an incentive, a sweetener or 'bribe' ***
so SUPERSURE here is my feedback for free
1. They today sent an email to "confirm that cover will no longer be in force after your policy expiry date, 14/12/2022" and similar.
Of that I was aware and I take exception to being 'hustled' in that way into an instantaneous decision.
In recent days I had noticed that last year's policy was for New for Old (and in my mind that puts insurance prices up for all of us … as does ***).
2. Supersure follow up the nagging email with an unexpected unrequested telephone call.
However I did welcomed the opportunity … to fit my cover … as their customer … more correctly to my pocket as times are hard.
The conversation was swift (please pardon my pun) and I was having some difficulty analysing what was being said (a fast salesman detailed and comprehensive description).
The gentleman caller was very polite.
Yet what I was getting was that the company is
hard nosed about extracting a maximum sales jargon and blinding detail of the proposal.
Effectively pay £227.50 and renew before 20:00 hours today for the existing New for Old renewal terms
or the policy lapses.
If that is a good price I just do not know.
That is pressure !
I wanted to know the price based on a reasonable valuation for my 'one year old' and much adored
Swift Caravan WITHOUT the New for Old.
So I asked for a quote.
That is £239.50 … Let me do the math.
That is an extra £12.00 for a lower grade of policy product (with identical product add-ons).
If this ongoing story has a "happy ending'
I will let you know for the betterment of Swift Customers everywhere with this brokerage.
