I am writing this out of sheer frustration as this is not the first time I’ve faced this issue with SunExpress. I am traveling with my 2-year-old son, and once again, the system automatically assigned us seats in completely different rows.
What is the point of entering the child’s age during the booking process if the algorithm is going to separate a toddler from their parent? It is a basic human and safety requirement for a small child to sit next to their guardian.
Here is the summary of my experience:
The "Pay-to-Sit-Together" Trap: After spending a long time trying to reach customer service, I was told that the only way to sit with my child was to pay an extra fee for seat selection. This feels like a forced upsell for a basic necessity.
Repeated Failure: Even after canceling the online check-in and trying again as suggested, the system assigned separate seats once more.
Zero Improvement: I have filed multiple complaints over the past year, but nothing has changed.
Stressful Experience: Now, I have to go to the check-in counter and hope for a solution, or worse, "beg" other passengers to swap seats on the plane. Traveling with a child is challenging enough without SunExpress making it unnecessarily stressful.
I strongly advise families to be cautious. It’s disheartening to see such a fundamental human situation being ignored for the sake of extra seat fees. I do not recommend this airline for families.
One incorrect click of a button cost me £100. I accept this was my mistake, I have a neurodiverse condition that makes doing this stuff online difficult and their website isn't the easier to use, added baggage for the same flight twice instead of over 2, a seemingly very simple thing to just amend on the system, but no I had to pay £100 for the bag and suck up the loss for the airline to profit from.
Called the airline, and my response is you can use it (the extra baggage for the outward flight) or lose it.. Excellent. Never using this airline again, that's for sure.
SunExpress Airlines , I find this airline very efficient , Check in is fast , staff, crew are always willing to help, they work hard . Meals are really hot good .
My only complaint has a solo Travellor is with large families that are drunk and have unruly kids , this applies to all airlines...
Very confusing booking seats and the luggage part saying do you want to continue without luggage but booked with tui and luggage is included so continued then it says luggage is free. But reserved our seats but one says 1 x standard seat category 1 then the other 3 seats just say 1 x seat so not sure what this means
We had flight izmir to dublin 04/05/26. There was isssue at counter with staff ı dont know the person name there was lady kind of rude to me but after that name of person working there Büsra Kozan helped us she was really kind and helpful
I would like to thank to her from here.
Try to do ur best to escape the cooperation with this cheat company.

Quick check in. On both journeys we were all on the plane with the doors closed 15 minutes before take off. We had no issues at all.
Low cost company with All services payable on board we arrived on Time everyrhing was good prices of food a Little bit expansive but good value staff profesional
It was allround a very nice experience once again. We will defenitely fly with SunExpress again.
Check in online and at the desks was very easy and straightforward

Only thing to let the flight down was the fact we could not use our debit card on board so had to use a credit card which some passengers didn’t have
New baggage scam: 4kg weight exceeding European regulations. Comfortable planes, reclining seats, unprepared staff at Antalya airport, long lines to check in luggage, you have to arrive 4 hours early to avoid missing your flight.
Me my brother and my cousin are all almost two meters tall and my brother is more than two meters tall.
I always book extra leg space.
I came on the flight and our assigned seat wasn't with extra leg room, we got appointed a regular seat.
We pointed this out to the stewards, and they responded very bluntly saying that we didnt book with extra leg room, he said prove it then.
How am I supposed to prove this on the airplane where there is no mobile connection.
Had a terrible flight since we couldn't sit normal, we had to lift our knees and place them against the chairs of the people in front of us which also caused frustration with them.
Then during the flight someone else wanted a larger seat and they allowed him to use one of the 3 extra leg room seats (which were empty, likely because that were supposed to be our seats) and they even charged him for it, while we had also paid for it.
You know a mistake is possible, but the blunt response and communication from the flight staff is unacceptable.
Therefore a 1 star for these bastards.

My suitcase was damaged on arrival. I only saw the damage at home, but I reported it within 7 days with photos. SunExpress hides behind a PIR rule (a form you can only get at the airport) and takes no responsibility. Other airlines handle this fairly. SunExpress does not. Very poor service. I will never fly with them again. I don't want to give a star, but unfortunately I have to in order to leave a review.

First time flying with SunExpress and was pleasantly surprised with how good they were, they are a no fuss airline, but the service by the cabin crew was excellent, arrived early both on the outward journey and flight home, have nothing bad to say, would use the again without a second thought.
While booking a seat the price was showing 9.50 per seat but when tried to book, the price appeared 14.50!
it is very difficult to use the website. Not very friendly website, especially when using to register the booking.
It was not possible for me to redeem my loyalty points. On an earlier flight. I had reserved a seat, but the seat was reassigned by SunExpress to someone else.That should work better.
Booked from Antalya to London Stansted. Flight left/landed close to on time. Comfortable flight. The in-flight food prices i taught were high when compared to corparable airlines. I found the website to be slow at times. But overall i would fly again with them.
very difficult website and we had to pay five euro's per person because we couldnt prove we did online check-in. Confirmation came by email, but the boarding passes were not availble. In the end, no online check-in. Happened to us both ways, just not needed troubles.
