Return was laggy and customer unfriendly
I ordered a very cheap 3-phase inverter from SolarEdge and it was delivered quite fast. At this point the story would end with 5 stars.
Unfortunately, the inverter was not comtaible with my SolarEdge installation (too small, inverter did not start) and I wasn't aware of that limitation before.
So I had to send back the device on my own expenses and asked them for a refund. 1 week after item was delivered back I asked them for a status update. Days later, they came back and asked for my IBAN number which I told them, although I paid with credit card, so I expected the refund also on my credit card, but that didnt happen.
Around 1 month(!) after the return, they refunded my money back, but only ~85% of the price. When I asked them for the reason, they replied because the device has been in use (yes, for 1 1/2 days in order to test it, but there were no damages or anything else that would reduce its value significantly) and because of broken styropor during transport.
Luckily the inverter was very cheap, so my loss was under 20 EUR.
But, in case of a regular Inverter price, 15% OFF would have meant over 100 EUR loss just because of some little minor cosmetic marks.
Overall, the whole refund process was very annoying and I cannot recommend this company to anyone, due to its customer service and very harsh refund policies.
Buy your Solar and PV stuff from anywhere else, but NOT from this company if you expect troublefree return experience, in case its needed.
