Support through divorce
I found Stowes online when I was in the early stages of coming to terms with the end of a long marriage to an abusive partner…
From my first phonecall I was made to feel safe and heard, my issues were listened to without judgement and the divorce process was explained without jargon so I understood.
My initial solicitor left a few months into the process but the transition to a new solicitor Heather Arnold was seamless and she was up to speed on my case from the outset.
My partner was obstructive at times and Heather was quick to ensure there were no delays to the process, always being professional and ensuring I was happy with the action being taken, Heather was friendly and approachable, I felt reassured in her hands, she even ensured I knew when she was on leave and who I could contact if needed, Orla was a huge help in Heathers absence. Heather also ensured that I was cared for physically and mentally, acknowledging the stress of my situation at home and giving me advice about ensuring my safety in the home.
Throughout the process I always felt Heather was acting in my interests and made practical and sensible suggestions to help me achieve the fairest outcome without unnecessary costs. All her input was made in a prompt and efficient way, I always felt ‘we’ were ‘ahead of the game’ and in control of an otherwise devastating situation.
Now at the end of the process I am so grateful to Heather and her team (I’m sure lots goes on behind the scenes!) for seeing me through, the last year has been the worst of my life but I know that I have had the best support I could have asked for.

Had a first meeting (start of divorce…
Had a first meeting (start of divorce proceeding). Melanie was very knowledgeable, including on an issue of international family law that not many are aware of.
Melanie spent time to undertstand my position, but also took into account what I wanted to achieve and gave me great advice that matched who I am (rather than taking a very corporate one size fits all approach, which was my biggest fear). I felt in good hands and listened to, so am going to proceed with her.

Child arrangements order.
I instructed Stowe Family Law for support ahead of my final hearing after self-representing for most of the proceedings. I dealt mainly with Nicky and Sophie, and both were excellent throughout.
The support was clear, practical and focused on what really mattered. Sophie was very helpful in preparing for the hearing and making sure the key points were properly covered. Nicky was amazing at court and gave calm, sound advice at a very stressful time.
The outcome was what was needed, and I genuinely feel the support from Stowe helped me get there. The costs were also reasonable for the level of service and guidance provided.

Imrana has been advising me through a very complex family law case.
