be careful who you deal with
S. Thiele plumbing,
have had a relationship with this plumber for some years now, sewer maintenance and fixing some leaking water piping. I cant fault their work, they have always been professional and prompt.
Recently I had a blocked sink so I rang the owner on a Sunday afternoon (2.20pm) told him the issues, he said he would get back to me later with a day and time. By 8pm no call so I texted him asking when he may be able to come and fix the problem, there was no urgency or pressure just wanting to know when so I could rearrange some other appointments to make sure I could accommodate him.
I was texted back a few moments later saying, I quote “WE WILL DROP EVERYTHING FOR YOU AND BE THERE TOMORROW MORNING “ unquote. The next day Monday was pouring rain but I wanted to know what I deserved to get such an offensive response from him so I rang and spoke with him, his attitude was even worse, complaining about the rain and how I could or would expect him to come to fix the problem??
I suggested he read my text and his response again and explain where there was any pressure to have this done urgently, alas it became a waste of time as his ranting became totally strange !! IT SHOULD BE NOTED I AS HIS CUSTOMER WOULD GET CASH AND DRIVE TO HIS HOME THE SAME DAY OF THE JOB AND PAY HIM FOR HIS SERVICES !!!! - -I DOUBT ANY OTHER CUSTOMER WOULD GIVE SUCH PAYMENT SERVICE!!
To this day I have no idea what set the person off, I can only speculate that possibly he felt awkward for the fact that some months earlier he offered me two concrete covers for $265 dollars each and I refused and mentioned to him I could get them from the supplier for $65dollars each. I have no idea.
However I as a long standing customer will not tolerate such belligerent behavior so have ended the relationship. I would be wary of dealing with people who have such attitudes!!!
