Avoid

Received unfriendly service from the vet on most visits over 2 years, but stayed as convenient. I paid a monthly fee, and was told my dog would get an annual injection included as part of the price.
After 2 years I cancelled my subscription as I was putting my dog on herbal flea and tick. When I cancelled they told me I owed £49 for the injection as it fell about a week outside the the previous year (although they were the ones who told me to delay the injection! ). They then sued me for £49 when I disputed the charge. They made a money claim without any written notice as required by law. It’s too small a sum for me to waste my money defending - be warned of their desperate attitude and avoid at all costs!
Spoken to neighbours since and others have largely had bad experiences, but again people stay due to them being local in Perrenporth.

Reception staff always seemed to have…

Reception staff always seemed to have an attitude and never seen the same vet so had to explain problems over and over which we already explained before. Overall, the service was not great. Can’t seem to find anyone who thinks this vets is a good choice. Very expensive compared to most.

Money grabbers

Vets charge enough for treating our animals. Today I had a phone call because my pet insurance company asked them to verify that they had treated my dog for an accident that she had recently. Why did they phone? Because they wanted me to pay an administration fee for verify that they had treated my dog!

FFS they earn enough money from us without money grabbing for such a simple thing as verifying that they had treated my dog.

Money grabbing at its worst!

Money grabbing

Money grabbing. Chris (owner) wants us to get our elderly cats teeth done and has sent a letter saying that they are gonna pass it onto the RSPCA. She also suffers from hyperthyroidism. Two vets at the same practise have said that they wouldn't risk having her under general anesthetic with her age and hyperthyroidism for fear of her life."

I wrote this review on the facebook page after learning Chris had been harassing and blackmailing my mother with threatening to report us to the RSPCA for neglect of our animals which is very far from the case. This review was left at around 13:00. Upon seeing this it obviously hit a nerve with Chris in which he decided he was going to leave a voicemail at around 14:04 which can be listened to here on youtube:
watch?v=T8rk7OHVBDE.

I later went on to add a comment to the review after hearing the voicemail which pretty much read:

"Just goes to show how petty Chris Gardener is. Telling us all about this stuff he's adding onto his practise and being the only one there at the practise who wants us to fork over the money as it could cost our cats life as well. (Two of the other vets there have agreed with us in that it would be too risky to proceed who do not have a vested interest in the money gained by the practise). We will be seeking legal advice."

This comment also included the voicemail which was linked above, and was promptly deleted around four minutes after posting. to which they have responded with:

"Whilst we cannot reply on specific cases due to data protection, our primary concern is animal welfare and where we have continued welfare concerns which are not being addressed by the owner we regret that we have to pass theses cases on to the RSPCA for their input. This is an unfortunate consequence but unfortunately sometimes the only way to resolve these cases."
To which I then responded with the same message I had already posted but had been deleted with additions.

"Just goes to show how petty Chris Gardener is. Actually removed my previous comment as well as well as the video of the voicemail which is attached again. Telling us all about this stuff he's adding onto his practise and being the only one there at the practise who wants us to fork over the money as it could cost our cats life as well. (Two of the other vets there have agreed with us in that it would be too risky to proceed who do not have a vested interest in the money gained by the practise). We no longer plan to use you as a practise as we have no faith in the service provided and we have already arranged another veterinary service. We will be seeking legal advice."

I'd be surprised if the work that is done at the veterinary is not implement bigger doors so that Chris will actually be able to get his head through the door. Such a shame as it lets down the other vets who work under the same practise who share the values you would expect them to stand to, not cold-hearted, arrogant, egotistical bullies who are just in it for the money and don't actually have any empathy for the animals they are involved with. Spoke to him on the phone regarding the matter in which he just constantly talked other my mother and has no respect at all and even ended up cutting the call mid conversation.

Lastly, in the voicemail clip Chris said that it had been roughly a year and a bit that he had been harassing us to get the cats teeth worked on. If it was really that serious why would it have taken over a year for him to consider contacting RSPCA regarding the matter.
