Stationaryi is an online platform selling products internationally. It sold me an iPhone holder - to hold an iPhone on my desk. It arrived broken. It was clearly unable to hold an iPhone. It was faulty & it’s strength and design indicated it was not fit for its advertised purpose, and it was poorly made .

The terms and conditions of the sale on this online platform are standard for each sale and they allow for a replacement OR return in such circumstances, where the goods arrive damaged.

I opted for a return in these circumstances. I sent photographs of the issue. That is, I provided proof that the product was clearly damaged. It had come apart cleanly at the join, in the arm , where it was purportedly to hold an iPhone. The arm had separated from the body cleanly.

I am happy to return the product to Stationaryi. I would prefer not at my cost, but a reasonable cost is acceptable, and to a known address.

I communicated this to Stationaryi. I expected them to stand by their own terms and conditions. They have not. Over several days now, they have not.

They have tried to force me to accept a “complimentary “ replacement. I have the rejected this a number of times.

They have not at ANY point stated they would refund my purchase price, as per their terms and conditions.

They are repeatedly stating the costs of returning this product are expensive (to a warehouse in China for which they “give no address”.)

Stationaryi want to pay me “$7US “ as compensation”. Ie: “settlement “.

The product purchase cost $23.99 US and postage cost a further $7.20 US.

Stationaryi, in wanting me to settle on “compensation” of $7USD want me to take a loss.

The only conclusion I can draw from this is that Stationaryi are breaching their own terms and conditions. They want me to not get the refund I am contractually entitled to by the terms and conditions of our contract of sale.

They are behaving in a pressuring way by doing so.

They are also being pressuring in requiring me to respond to repeated emails which try and disentitle me of my contractual rights under our contract of sale. I have to respond & remind them of their contract of sale with me, while they don’t acknowledge their own public terms and conditions which are part of our contract of sale for this item which I purchased.

Stationaryi are not a business to “do business with”. In common parlance, they are cowboys. They will sell you products that are not fit for purpose and take your money, ignoring your contractual rights as a consumer under the contract of sale you have with them.

Avoid this company. They are not to be trusted. You will be left out of pocket and/or without the advertised product.
