Standard Notes for ultimate security

I am a reasonably new Standard Notes user, but I've found it to be an amazing service. I have taken out a paid subscription to use their higher level features. The main feature is security and it works by encrypting and decrypting your notes on your device, rather than in the cloud. This approach is perfect for security concious people. I have been in touch with their support people for a point of clarity and they were prompt and effective.

I have previously used several notes services and they have been good, but Standard Notes covers the features I need while maintaining the security levels I want from such a service.

Some might find the interface a little utilitarian, but if you are familiar with production apps of this nature then you will enjoy the layout. Personally I love the interface.

If there is one thing I'd like, that is a monthly payment plan.

Dishonest! Liars!

Working on a Mac.

Lost a password, and their website said to delete the account (I did) and then create a new account.

BUT I CAN'T!!!

Every time I try to re-create a new account, after deleting the account per their instruction, it says "This email is already registered" ? What?? Why run people/customers through the ridiculous process of deleting their account/email when that process doesn't work? For nothing, apparently...

What is the point in the instruction on their website when I can't re-create the account???

Standard Notes and this scam are two…

Standard Notes and this scam are two different entities and there may be a third.

The scam advertises itself as standard notes inc. and standard notes team. The contact phone number in the message is malformed for a North American number One would expect it to look like 123-555-5556. You rarely see a N. Am number formed with a +1 since the + means dial your International access number. 1 means N. America ... then area code and number ... but our numbers don't have a - in the middle like this one did. 15-47

The area code in the email is 757 which is Virginia The address of standard notes is Standard Notes Ltd., 350 N Orleans St., Chicago, IL 60654

The headers of the email I got came from unknown to a host in Toronto and no relation to standard notes!

The email is clearly a hoax.

Scam company

Scam company. I just got an email out of the blue that my trial was finished and that I had agreed to continue paying them annually some $79.20 ! A big lie. Never heard of them before, and emailed me that my trial was over and that they were going to charge me for a year's subscription and hey would renew that annually. No one ever answers their phone.

The best note taking app

I love Standard Notes. Fully open source application with client side encryption. I use Standard Notes to note down pretty much everything like shopping lists and keeping a private journal.
I've been really impressed with Standard Notes that I decided to buy a year of extended for the extra features that come with it, and I will definitely be renewing once the year is up. I've also integrated my blog through standard notes with their own blogging platform called Listed. Also, customer support has been top notch. They're very helpful and knowledgeable in resolving the issues your having with the application. I can't recommend Standard Notes enough!
