After checkout, you will see two transactions on your credit card:
1. One is a temporary authorization (hold); this is not a charge and you do not pay this amount.
1. It is simply a pre-authorization, which is standard for many other types of purchases on your credit card (think hotels, gasoline, etc.).
2. The other is the first installment charge.
1. Each month after, your installment payment is automatically charged until your plan is complete.
Splitit installment plans work using your available credit card balance. That is why the temporary hold on your credit is necessary.

It's an absolutely amazing service and I'm glad you are taking it up, however I felt it lacked direct information about the amount of money removed from acclung and the time of its return. I felt that it could put a financially vulnerable person in a lot of trouble if they had upcoming payments.

I signed up for this not realizing how much time it would take to put into this. As a stay-at-home mom who homeschools my son on the autism spectrum, I realized I did not have enough time. I went through the refund process, and was refunded within an hour! 10 out of 10 for customer service!
