Absolutely superb from start to finish…

Absolutely superb from start to finish when purchasing our new caravan from Spinney. Hannah, Will, Tina, Barry were all fantastic. Loved the welcome and attention we were given by everyone. Nothing is too much trouble and felt everyone went above and beyond to get us a great deal. I cannot recommend them highly enough. 10/10. Thank you to everyone.

Collected our first Motor Home today…

Collected our first Motor Home today from Spinney’s Cheshire. Dealt with Mark all the way through the Purchase, excellent service. We had an hour induction with Tony, he was brilliant, very thorough, went through absolutely everything. Very pleased and would recommend Cheshire Spinney to anyone.

Warwick Branch - avoid!

Warwick Branch.

The sales process was brilliant, Alan Blair looked after us well and has been a main point of contact. The handover was fairly good. Once we had the vehicle home and started sorting things the cleanliness of the vehicle was superficial.

Marks on the floor, cupboards and walls came off with little effort. Not a great way to start our MoHo journey.

The reason for 2 stars is purely down to the dire after sales experience that we have had. The 2 stars were earned by Alan.

We waited almost 6 weeks for 2 wheel centres, constantly chasing with very little in the way of updates back. I even proffered that 2 were available on eBay and we’d of had those next day!

There was a solar fault which appeared just to need a reset but was this checked after the leisure battery was replaced?

We collected the seat RAM on 10th June to fit ourselves , an easy task we were assured by Spinneys only to find that the bottom fixing and knuckle were also missing, strangely missing off the PDI? Probably. Here we are, one month later, no parts and still getting no response to requests for delivery updates/dates! It’s been 2 days since requesting an update from the branch manager and nothing back!

Should any of the senior managers be interested in resolving the issues please feel free to contact me, I can forward emails and phone logs to show how poor the responses have been.

All while this was going on we were sent reminders to review our experience . . . Well here it is!

It would seem that once the money arrived in your bank and the vehicle pulled out the yard you lost all interest in the customer.

At present, I would not recommend you to anyone, nor would I even admit to buying from you. Our custom for habitat services is in the balance, we are looking at other options.

Firstly, I am pleased to hear that Alan provided you with a positive sales experience and remained a helpful point of contact throughout your purchase. I will ensure your kind comments are passed on to him.

I am, however, genuinely sorry that your experience following collection has not met the standard you expected. I completely appreciate how disappointing it must have been to discover that the vehicle had not been prepared to the level you expected, and I understand how this affected your first impressions of your new motorhome.

During our conversation, we discussed the delay with the replacement wheel centres. Unfortunately, the correct wheel centres had to be supplied directly by the manufacturer, as the ones you had identified online were the incorrect size and would not have fitted your vehicle correctly. Whilst I appreciate this offered little comfort at the time, we wanted to ensure that the correct parts were supplied and fitted.

In relation to the outstanding seat RAM components, these remain on order with Elddis. We have been advised of a current lead time of approximately 6–8 weeks, which is, unfortunately, outside of our control. That said, I completely understand your frustration at the delay, particularly when you were expecting what should have been a straightforward installation.

The aspect of your feedback that concerns me most is the lack of communication and updates you received. Regardless of the manufacturer lead times, we should have kept you informed throughout the process rather than leaving you to chase for information. I have discussed this with the team to ensure we improve our communication with customers moving forward.

Thank you once again for taking the time to speak with me and for giving us the opportunity to discuss your concerns. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor the outstanding parts order closely and will contact you as soon as we receive an update from Elddis.

Went in on a whim to have a look a…

Went in on a whim to have a look a small 2 berth caravan Ryan gave me some keys for me to have a look inside each of them, no pressure was put on me while i looked around. After finding the one i wanted i spoke to Ryan again asking him multiple questions and nothing was a problem to him. On the day of picking caravan up everything was explained to me throughly will definitely recommend spinney caravans and Ryan the salesman 10/10

Great members of staff will

Great members of staff will , and barry make you feel welcome and provide great service . Trust these guys for the best deal . All in hand which ever way you turn . Fast and friendly service

Popped into the Kenilworth branch to see if Paul could diagnose the issue with our water pump.
Needed a replacement which they had in stock and Paul got straight down to replacing it there and then.
They were fully booked for the next few weeks and we were going away so he got us out of a jam.
Couldn’t fault the service. Thanks again Paul. 😊

Disappointed with aftersale service

We purchased a motorhome from the Cheshire branch and although the purchase/ collection of the motorhome was very good the leisure battery was faulty and a temporary battery was put on to cover us until the correct battery was resourced. It's now 1 year on and after numerous phone calls made to Spinney we still have not received the correct battery.Now very disappointed with the aftersale service.😡

Upgrading my caravan

I wanted to change my caravan fairly quickley for a larger model. I contacted Spinney at Newcastle branch who had a new model in stock whilst I was away on holiday.
They arranged to transfer the mover, battery and aerial/wifi from my current van to the new one.
I then collected the new van a few days later

From my initial Auto Trader enquiry…

From my initial Auto Trader enquiry with Spinney Crewe branch to the demonstration and delivery to our chosen store and stay site i cannot recommend this company enough. Absolutely professional from purchase to collection. Special thanks to John Smith who made sure everything on the 3 year old Coachman was to our liking. Special thanks to Neil who demonstrated all of the features on it allowing us to video it for future reference and answered all of our many questions and last but not least to Ian who professionally delivered our precious caravan to our chosen site with care and attention negotiating tight roads around Conwy Castle. Patiently waiting for us to follow and made sure we were happy with everything.
To sum up definitely buy a caravan or motor home from Spinney you won't be disappointed.
We are both so happy 😊

Very poor service

Very poor communication before sale. Vehicle hand over incomplete and van released with multiple defects which should have been dealt with before handover. So far it has proved impossible to get any of these problems resolved. As it stands I would not use Spinney again and would certainly recommend others not to either. Very poor and disappointing experience.

Great service at Spinney Cheshire

We purchased our new motorhome from Spinney Cheshire. Fantastic service from Mark French. He couldn't have been more helpful and offered us a great deal. Wouldn’t buy another van from them

Bought a caravan from Northampton branch , 12 months warrant they said bring it back if you had a problems they would fix it under the warranty, the gas oven flame wasn’t right , when you turned the gas up it didn’t increase the flame also on the grill , they fixed it , and produce us with a bill ! Said we had gone over a pot hole , but they changed the gas adaptor in the front ,and had the oven out didn’ ring before hand just went ahead and fixed and charged us , the lock in the door was very stiff barrel came slightly out when you took the key out , said they fixed it , they haven’t . Gave us a 2nd key that didn’t fit any lockers or door. Back break light never worked wanted to charge us for a whole unit . Our experience has not been a great one . First time with the Spinney and our last . Would not buy a caravan from there again, there happy to sell you a van but not look after you after sales .This is not our 1st van been caravan if for 35 years never been treated as bad as they have . There after sales is rubbish

Having reviewed the work carried out, we'd like to provide some clarification. The original issue with the oven was caused by low gas pressure, and we replaced both the faulty gas regulator and the gas shut-off valve under your warranty. These repairs did not require the oven to be dismantled.

Before any work was carried out, our technician identified that the oven frame had collapsed due to multiple broken rivets. This is not a fault that would occur through normal use. We contacted you while your caravan was in our workshop to explain the issue, and, following that conversation, you agreed to the additional 1.5 hours of labour required to remove, strip down and repair the oven.

Regarding the spare key, the replacement supplied by our Sales team was the correct key number. When we inspected it, we found it had not been finished correctly during manufacture. We adjusted it, tested it in all the locks, and confirmed it was working correctly before the caravan was returned.

With regard to the brake light, this is a sealed LED light cluster. Unfortunately, this type of component is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. However, after discussing the matter with you, we supplied and fitted a good used replacement light cluster free of charge as a gesture of goodwill.

We're sorry that, despite these efforts, you have been left with a negative impression of our aftersales service. We always aim to resolve issues fairly and transparently, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
