Back in time, experience brought me back to 1996.
I had a disappointing experience with Spinnaker regarding their shipping policy.
They charge €15 for outbound shipping and another €15 for returns, when returning an item, which does not seem to comply with European consumer protection laws.
In my case, I returned a pair of sneakers from Brunello Cucinelli, which are clearly premium, high-end products.
Given the luxury segment they operate in, this kind of policy feels especially unreasonable.
Under EU regulations, customers should not be burdened with excessive or unclear return costs, and policies should be transparent and fair. Charging fees on both ends like this is discouraging and out of line with expectations for a retailer selling premium and luxury goods.
Overall, this policy is ridiculous for a company in this segment and creates a negative shopping experience. I would strongly advise potential buyers to carefully review the shipping and return terms before purchasing.

As already explained to you, our return and shipping costs are clearly and explicitly stated on our website. In fact, in the very screenshot you provided, it is clearly written: “shipping costs (both outbound and return) are the responsibility of the customer.”
This means the information was fully available prior to purchase.
We would also like to clarify that we are fully compliant with European regulations. “European consumer protection laws” do not impose or standardize the pricing of services offered by private companies. Businesses are free to set their own shipping and return costs, provided these are transparently communicated—which, in our case, they are.
Our shipping fees are aligned with the actual rates charged by the couriers we use. The outbound shipping cost is not refunded because the service has already been provided and paid to the carrier. The same principle applies to return shipping.
Additionally, as you can clearly see from the other reviews, this policy is generally well understood by our customers, and situations like yours appear to be isolated.
While we understand that you may not agree with our policy, it is neither unclear nor non-compliant—it is simply a condition that was visible and accepted at the time of purchase.
