Good Product and Customer Service; Needs Instructions
I wanted to get ahead of the known Coldside intercooler pipe weakness on my 2012 F-350 PowerStroke and saw an excellent deal on the combined Hot/Cold side pipes on SPELabs. The two sides arrived taped together as one package, all good thus far.
Neither box contained any parts breakdowns or installation instructions or tips, but how hard could it be? Consulting the usual suspects on YouTube, I realized that not all factory installs were the same. My OEM did not have a temperature sensor along the top, outer bend of the curved metal tube. Mine instead was located on the lower section on the similar plastic pipe, but offset by 35 degrees for clearance. After trial and error, I reversed the pipe to bring the temperature sensor to the top and fitted everything together correctly.
Satisfied, I moved on to replacing the Hotside pipe but found the metal pipe off the turbo side to be too long for my vehicle. With it in place, there was no clearance to fit the longer pipe between there and the intercooler inlet.
After sending several pictures and explanations of the problem, SPELabs technical support asked for pictures of the hotside parts to ensure undamaged for resale. As I only dry-fitted parts to determine incompatibility, I was able to wipe everything down, repackage in original wrapping and box and sent them pictures of all. Whereupon the gave me an RM number and I USPS shipped that part back.
The only other note I have is that the outlet of the turbo side requires a sealing ring that other vendors supplied that was not included with the SPELabs assembly. Their online pictures do not show or mention this part. During the installation I must have misplaced mine such that the truck started showing a P0299 DTC, Low turbo boost. The Ford dealer wants $92 at desk, $56 online but you can find for less through other Ford dealers or eBay.
Overall, both parts assemblies are well manufactured and appear durable, taking the worry of losing boost and operability due to coldside pipe failure. All of my emails were responded to within 24 hours and advice was reasonable given disparities between the same motor/model year, which I suspect is due to supply chain issues, parts substitutions on end of year parts changes. Exhaust came with everything I ordered, bolted up pretty easily all has been well so far.
Initially the EGR kit only came with the two block off plates. Sent them a email and they sent out a complete kit, told me I didn’t need to send it back
As of today they have earned my business but we will see how everything holds up long term

Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. They don't stand behind their return policy. They will ignore email after email. When you call to ask about starting a return they tell you that they will have a supervisor call you, but the supervisor never calls. I paid for a complete tune and delete kit for powerstroke. Got all the parts but never received the tune. Cheap Chinese garbage.

Great kit
The kit arrived 4 days after the order complete, in good shape and with excellent instructions. Installation was straightforward except that there wasn’t enough clearance so little clearance under my car (64 Vette) that I had to extend the outlet to just in front of the back axle. It works as advertised and looks and sounds great!

Great down pipe
I purchased the spelab down pipe for my 05 Duramax and wow what a difference it made for me. This down pipe decreased my Egt's by almost 500 degrees when under heavy load as well as my turbo will spool quicker for almost instant power that was not present before. I totally recommend this down pipe for Duramax.
