Unfortunately I had to suffer thru 3 deliveries from Sparks Delivery this week.
First of all they don't speak English nor can they read English. I got phone calls from them, which was useless because I couldn't understand a word they said. What I did understand was "my English no good" I text him my address and got a picture back of a vacant lot.
When they finally found my apartment. Its gated, the gate code was included in driver instructions. They didn't read them or couldn't read them and just dumped my flowers at one of the 6 gates so I had to go looking for them.
How can you be a delivery driver if you can't read or speak English?????

As a Walmart customer Spark delivery is so unreliable you cannot count on it. Mostly because the drivers don’t have to delivery your orders. I guess they sort of cherry pick what they deliver. Makes it bad if you as a customer are expecting a prescription to be delivered. Walmart needs to either pay a reliable staff of drivers or give up on it. Amazon pays to have a delivery fleet and the customer gets their orders. Don’t pay for a service plus a tip and never receive their order because it gets cancelled because nobody wants to deliver it. To me that’s a bad reputation for WalMart promising a service that is not reliable.

2 orders have been sitting all day without anyone delivering my items . The first order was for my sick child and I needed their medicine and groceries. The app kept saying all day that items would be delivered, the driver is on the way to pick up items . Then it said order delayed . Then no one came and it was now 11pm and store closed and no one called me . The second time was christmas toys , app said the same thing and my children never received their Christmas presents . I canceled my membership for free delivery because no one is delivering and yes I tipped . First time was 30 items , second time was 7 . No one makes sure your items get delivered , they just sit there until you cancel or pick them up instead .

I got a new phone and could not sign into the app with the old number. so i called customer service and they told me i had to re-sign up again....which made me wait 3 months! when i received the email to sign in with the new number i got all the way to the sign confirmation page to accept digital signature and would not go through! when i got out of the app it said "not approved" WTF!!!!!!! TERRIBLE AND UNRELIABLE who is monitoring this with all the money Walmart makes and there is no help on this???

Sparks is the worst platform you could ever work for. I have good ratings and everything in my account has been deactivated for two years. I have made an appeal. Waited a whole year. Talked to multiple people about reactivate my account and still nothing. They have given me the steps to do a appeal, but it’s not even on the app. Everybody keeps saying the same thing and I have not been able to reactivate my account. They are garbage. I rather work for Uber then to work for them at least Uber. Let you know what’s gonna happen if XYZ happens. At least give you a chance to fix whatever need to be fixed so that you can keep your account spark is garbage is just like working for Walmart cause I have work for Walmart and on both ends it is garbage. Is your car is your time and they feel like they just can do you any kind of way they don’t pay for your wear and tear they don’t pay for anything. I was a good driver. I’ve been with Uber for a year for some years now never have my account been deactivated for foolishness, but Sparks good morningdeactivate my account for no reason and they still haven’t told me why. they just have bogus reasons why they deactivate your account. Do not try and work for them. I got married and my last name changed but my car insurance policy was still in my maiden name until my policy renewed. Spark requires you have at least 6 months of auto coverage but since my name won't update on my policy until my insurance renews I can no longer drive for spark because my insurance uses my maiden name. They're some bullcrap!!!! Save yourself from their bull its not worth it.

Spark Driver Deactivated Me on the Day of an Accident — Still No Justice
was deactivated from the Spark Driver platform on June 6, 2025 — the exact day I was involved in a verified car accident while actively delivering for Spark. I was hit by another driver in my 2024 Chevy Malibu and physically could not complete the delivery. The customer later reported the items as undelivered or damaged, and Spark deactivated me with no clear process for reactivation.
I’ve since provided all documentation, including an open State Farm claim (Claim #53-85W2-14S), and participated in a pre-arbitration call, but Spark still refuses to offer any second-chance program or review. This has disrupted my income and ability to provide for my kids — all because of a real emergency that was out of my control.
I’ve now filed with the Better Business Bureau and am sharing my experience here to hopefully be taken seriously. I just want my account re-reviewed fairly with all the facts considered.
Not worth doing
I have just started working for Spark last week. My experience with them isn’t good. Maybe because I work out of a small city. The first day I worked was long with minimal wages. First offer I got was early in the morning I shopped it had 13 items paid $27.16 including tip. Then I had to wait six hours for another offer. This had three drops had said 26 miles total not true. It paid 26.87 with tip. 3rd had 5 drops paid 31.70 with tip. I was available 10 1/2 hours. That is $8.16 per hour. Take the tips out it’s $6.18 per hour. You’ll not always get tips. That’s slave wages. I don’t know how people in bigger cities do. But, if you live in a smaller city or rural area don’t waste your time.
Wrongfully Deactivated After Almost 3 Years as a Top Spark Driver — No Explanation, No Accountability
I’ve been a Spark Driver delivering for Walmart for almost 3 years with a perfect record — no customer complaints, no safety issues, no missed deliveries. On May 30, 2025, my account was suddenly deactivated due to a vague “identity verification” issue.
I’ve never changed my ID, phone, name, or login. My license and documents are current. Nothing was ever flagged before. I immediately contacted customer service and was told my only option was to file an appeal. I did — and then heard nothing. No real explanation. No human contact. Just silence.
I depend on Spark for income, and being locked out without any due process or transparency has been devastating. There is no clear support channel, no one to escalate to, and no accountability for how they handle driver deactivations.
Even the Better Business Bureau refused to process my complaint at first, assuming I was an employee (I’m not — we’re independent contractors).
Walmart claims to value ethics and respect, but this situation shows how disposable drivers are to them and their third-party partner Steer. If Spark can deactivate anyone instantly — without warning, reason, or review — how is that fair or safe for thousands of honest gig workers?
I’m sharing this to warn others and hopefully get the attention of someone at Walmart or Steer who actually cares.
We deserve fair treatment, clear communication, and a real appeals process.
Unresolved Technical Issues Led to Unjust Deactivation of My Account
I have been a Spark Driver for quite some time, and I’ve always had a positive experience—until recently. My account was deactivated on April 28, 2025, due to an unresolved technical issue that prevented me from linking my primary earnings provider, which I was repeatedly told was an issue on Spark’s side.
Despite submitting multiple emails (about 40) and making several calls over the course of two months, I have not received a satisfactory solution. My attempts to link my account were unsuccessful, and after being told this was a technical issue, I was left without work for over a month, resulting in a financial loss of approximately $3,500 per month.
What’s more, my account was deactivated without any prior warning or resolution being offered. I was never at fault, and yet, I find myself with no way to reactivate my account.
Spark’s internal system error has caused significant financial and emotional hardship for me, and despite following every instruction from their support team, my account was still closed. I feel my situation has been mishandled, and no effort has been made to resolve it in a timely or fair manner.
I hope Spark will take responsibility for the issue and work toward a fair resolution, especially since the issue was clearly caused by their internal errors.

The Spark Driver company suits me very well according to all criteria, but many of my friends work in this company, but for some reason the Spark Driver company cannot register me, it constantly says that the location is full, although I meet people who have registered in this company recently and are already working, I think this is unfair, I am ready to work well and hard, I have a lot of experience in delivery.

it has been 20 days since my app has had this error that is stopping me from starting my shift from being able to accept deliveries. I'm a top rated driver and have worked for you guys for 2 years almost 3000 orders delivered. And now I have no job and no way to earn money or pay my bills. You guys screwed me over by not fixing this error in the app for over 20 days plus 2 weeks of being deactivated for no reason! What the heck is going on? I have not even been contacted by anyone. I've done all possible troubleshooting on my end daily. PLEASE GET IT FIXED NOW!

I have completed around 3000 deliveries and now my app is experiencing a fatal error that no one has fixed tech team keeps deleting my escalations without fixing the issue all possible troubleshooting has been completed daily on my end. App is up to date and in app troubleshooting says I'm good to go, drivers license and insurance are current app sign in and sign out is done daily as well as app being deleted and reinstalled.

Dont work for this company unless you want to put a bunch of miles on your car delivering food to people that could easily get it themselves. You would think that this would be going to people who don't have a car or are disabled in some way but no you will spend all your time going to the ghetto or some rich person neighborhood. The company will put out incentives to pay the drivers extra but you can never achieve them because they throw bs rules into it like only for Shopping order from Noon to 2. The shelves are never stocked for what customers order and then you will spend 30 minutes texting with the customer as to which diet pop they want instead of insert name here. If you want to make quick cash like 40 to 60 bucks in a couple hours its doable. The customer service is terrible for when you do need help with a delivery issue. Its quite obvious that wal-mart doesnt care at all.
