Price doesn't match the value

Constant bugs both on the web and mobile. Impossible to connect with an actual human being running the platform. Lackluster "Insight" information that often presents an error, delayed feedback, and slow or faulty information. It's great for uploading and storing your content with an Artist Pro subscription, but the price doesn't match the value.

Automation hell

By all means get a free account and publish your music, but don't, whatever you do, pay them for artist or artist pro tier, they will take your money and leave you at the mercy of a 100% automated, defect riddled hellscape of a website with ZERO support.

Tracks will be randomly rejected for monetization / distribution and there's NOT A SINGLE THING you can do about it - their 'support' rebot is a black hole where your pleas will echo into the abyse for all eternity, their facility to revise and 'upload' documentation for a track to be monetized is 100% NOT WORKING and nobody there gives a flying burst of flatulance as no human being will ever see or respond to your frustrated cries for help.

Trust me, just sign up with a decent distributor (like distrokid) from the outset and save yourself the wasted £75 fee and limitles PAIN of trying to use SoundCloud for anything other than basic music hosting / streaming.

SOUNDCLOUD.COM IS A RIPOFF!

Everyone stay away and don't ever sign-up to these useless scammers.

I write an original song, and they reject my monetization.

I receive one message from their support team stating I can monetize cover songs, then I receive another message from someone different stating that you can't monetize cover songs.

They have a no-reply email address, so you have to message their Otto bot.

Typical German sleezeballs!

This use to be the place for uploading…

This use to be the place for uploading and testing your new music. Now it's garbage. People get scared away. Truly garbage. Prices went up 180% in 2023. That's almost double. These days I'd recommend Spotify wich is better and much cheaper any day !

I have been cLocked out of my account – no support, no responseompletely locked out of my…

I have been completely locked out of my SoundCloud account for days. I can’t log in, and the backup codes don’t work. I submitted multiple support tickets through the Otto chatbot, but I received no confirmation email and no response at all.

I also tried contacting SoundCloud through Twitter, Instagram, and email – still absolutely nothing. It is impossible to reach a human. The chatbot just loops me back to the same dead-end answers.

This is beyond frustrating. I run a serious music project and now I’m losing access to my followers, stats, and uploads. The fact that such a major platform provides zero real customer support is unacceptable.

SoundCloud needs to fix their support system. Users should not be locked out of their accounts with no way to resolve it.

I demand to cancel my subscription

I demand to cancel my subscription for the next year.
You have the most disgusting service of all music services - a complete lack of technical support despite the fact that your technical system does not work.
This is the first and last year that I use soundcloud.
Technical support does not respond to messages in the chat or email at all and does not solve problems and I am forced to demand to cancel the subscription publicly!
For those who don't understand why I have to write this publicly, I'll explain. In the Soundcloud For Artist profile, in the Subscription section, it says: To make changes to your subscription, please email support. But Soundcloud Support doesn't respond to emails or chat messages.

Spotify Allows Racist Ads

I don’t like getting ads from the Secretary of Homeland Security on SoundCloud. They are aimed towards Hispanic immigrants and I cannot report the advertisement because it’s how “artists get paid.” Whoever approved the ad is a racist POS and I hope you, your family, and kids gets kicked in the ribs. I’ve had embarrassing moments at work where it talks about illegal immigrants doing heinous crimes like rape, child pornography, among other disturbing topics and I got written up because someone complained. Why don’t they name other races besides Hispanics in the ad? Don’t white people shoot up schools while the Arabs bomb buildings? If you’re going to go after minorities, at least target all of them instead of targeting one specific demographic. I will never support SoundCloud again.

Never pay for their subscription

Never pay for their subscription! They do not provide what they promise (Amplify, e.g.). Your tracks will be deleted from streaming platforms when you stop paying. You'll only find out about it when you attempt to cancel the subscription. Support does not answer.

Randomly deleted my @StewySongs SoundCloud account which I was using daily without notifying me that they'd done so to let me know why they've done so.

Avoid this platform like the plague if you're looking for a reliable platform which will allow you to grow your presence.

Too many adds

Too many adds, it’s now impossible to listen music without interruption. 1 music = 1 add. The screen needs to be opened on the add for it to load otherwise it pauses. For YouTube I understand because it’s visual, but what’s the point if it’s only mp3 content ? Total failure

Shady Tactics to Force Payment?

The fact that the site isn't claimed on Trustpilot is not so good. I signed up for the 7-day free trial, which expires on June 25, and after that I'd be charged a high amount to keep the subscription. So I tried to log in and cancel it-but I can't access my account. It says I need two-factor authentication or a backup code, which I don't recall ever setting up. There's also no trace of SoundCloud in my authenticator app. I contacted customer support via certified email, they asked me for a copy of my ID-now I'm waiting for their reply. I'll update this review if everything gets resolved without any charges on my end. My ticket number is 3700767.

UPDATE: Fixed by myself, I asket to chat gpt and gave me a direct link about my subscriptions (I can't add links on trustpilot), so I tried to cancel the plan even if I'm not officially logged in, it works.

Really liked soundcloud , it was my go to for good tunes But there is just far too many ADS, too often.I understand the ads Are a Money earner for the site For as many as there are , it's just far too much It totally takes the enjoyment away from listening to music on there now

Really difficult to cancel. Debited my account even though I did not want to continue.

Sent email to have it bounce back to talk with bot. Instructions to find bot was difficult

Good riddance, just beware of the hoops they make you jump through to cancel.

They deleted my account and gave 0 explanation. I've been with them since they first dropped like over 10 years ago. I've watched this platform slowly go downhill. I think its cute how they try to push a subscription onto you; despite their platform knowingly being the worst. Total joke. Use your money and go buy yourself something nice instead.

I submitted a support request to recover my SoundCloud account and never received any confirmation email or ticket number. I tried reaching out via email, chat, and Twitter, but no one helped me. This is very frustrating and disappointing. Please respond and help me get my account back!

TAKES YOUR MONEY WITHOUT PERMISSION!

Charged me 11€ for a subscription that I canceled the day before. How is this legal?

Send them a request about this 4 days ago, still no response. In fact, I have a request with Soundcloud that's been pending for probably a year by now, and yet still they haven't responded.

Also, NEVER distribute your music via SoundCloud. It will go all right, but if you cancel your subscription (11€/month), they will threaten to delete all your music on all platforms forever. How supportive to smaller musicians/artists who just want their sound heard. What a time to be alive! Just copy paste exactly what Spotify is doing to their artists and treat your customers like piggy banks Yippee!
