Save your money! DO NOT BUY SONOS!

I never leave bad reviews, but at this point I feel I have to warn others: Sonos is an absolute disaster. I invested heavily in their ecosystem — 4 Era 100s, an Arc Ultra, Sub 4, and a Move 2 — and I still can’t get uninterrupted music in my home. The sound keeps dropping out, randomly and repeatedly, no matter what I try.

I even purchased the Sonos Boost, thinking it would solve the problem, only to find out (after endless troubleshooting with support) that the Boost isn’t compatible with the newer speakers! It’s basically useless with the setup they’re actively selling.

Support offers nothing but basic troubleshooting scripts and no real solutions. When I asked for a refund or to return the system, I was told that’s not possible. I’ve spent thousands for a music system that can’t even play music consistently.

Massive regret. Do yourself a favour — don’t buy into the Sonos hype. It’s unreliable, overpriced, and the support experience is a dead end.

What a SHAME

Unfortunately, I've bought two OneSL speakers and one Roam. It is a complete DISASTER! First, because of the Sonos defective app that you have to install on your phone in order to SIMPLY USE your speakers. It took me AGES to set the system up, and even after 3 times and a phone call to their hotline, it doesn't work on my phone so I CAN'T EVEN USE MY SPEAKERS! Only my husband's phone, which is the same as mine - unbelievable - can connect. So, as far as I am concern, my Sonos stuff is just useless. Second, you can't just use the speakers the way you want because of this stupid app! Only the pre-selected platforms like Deezer, Soundcloud can be use as much as your own music. But your internet browser, nope! You have to download and PAY A SPECIAL APP FOR THAT! SERIOUSLY??? Third, the speakers, once plugged, can't be turned off because there is NO OFF BUTTON! They are just wasting power 24h a day! Sonos tries to reassure us : they are economical, low-energy. But not as much as a TURNED OFF speaker! Does Sonos live in the 21th century like us? Have Sonos heard about Greta Thunberg, climate changes, environmental emergency? Apparently, nope! And finally, Sonos forces their clients to upgrade from Sonos 1 to 2 even if their former system WORKS PERFECTLY WELL! They dare to talk about recycling, and offer you 30% off to change completely your entire system : WHAT A JOKE! And the sound is not even great. At the maximum volume, the speakers sature!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! Sonos is definitely the worst company EVER : no respectful customer policy, no green conscious, and mediocre products. What a SHAME! And the worst? They are clearly moderating their accounts, on Instagram or on their website. You can't find the slightest bad comments on their products, anywhere! They just pick the comments they like, even if it induces an untruthful image of the brand. They don't even have the decency of honnesty

Don't buy Sonos

Our Sonos system (4 Play1, 1 Play5, 1Sub, 1Booster = serious investment) keeps crashing every few months, and it takes ages and agony to make it work again. I strongly advice against buying Sonos.

Avoid buying Sonos if you want a trouble free speaker

Sonos ranks as one of the worst purchases I have ever made. I invested in 3 speakers which sounded good when I first connected them. Then come the Sonos software upgrades which are regular and never go smoothly. You spend hours getting the iPhone and router to pair with the speaker again through a process which is very unfriendly. Heaven forbid you disconnect the speaker and move it within the house as you have to start all over again. Then comes the next Sonos upgrade and you have the same battle. When it works the sound is good, but I don’t have the time (hours) to go through this pairing process. We don’t use the speaker anymore for the reasons given. Sonos never respond to communications. One of the worst companies from a customer satisfaction perspective I have ever encountered.

Sonos will let you down

Sonos will let you down
Sonos will let you down.
Devices become obsolete and they just don’t care about loyalty.
I recently bought two new play ones only to find out the the rest of my system will no longer be supported.
Well over £1000 wasted.
Sonos say the old Play 5 will be unsupported due to age. How come the old Play 3 is still supported when it is the same age! The reason is there is no equivalent new Play 3, so they can’t con you into upgrading, using the same excuse. It just doesn’t add up Sonos!
Do not buy Sonos.
You are buying a product that will last forever but will stop working on the whim of Sonos.
Shame on you Sonos for your lack of loyalty to a great customer base!

WARNING. Sonos will trash your system!

Sonos has decided to take my eight CR100 controllers from me. Steal them, in fact.

I have paid THREE THOUSAND dollars for those controllers, I use them every day, and they work perfectly. If removed, it would make my entire Sonos system, consisting of 11 Players and several bridges, useless.

HOW CAN THIS BE LAWFUL???

I used to recommend Sonos to all my friends, but now I can’t warn them strongly enough.

BUYER BEWARE! THIS COMPANY IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS. If you buy Sonos, you don’t know when they will trash your investment.

I WOULD GIVE SONOS ZERO STARS IF I COULD.
