Good quality solid door and frame but…
Good quality solid door and frame but finished badly; excessive glue remains on the moulding around the glass and a single seal on one pane sticks out.

Replacement door was needed and arrived…
Replacement door was needed and arrived in top condition along with the best person for the job named Kev! He explained everything he needed to do to fit the door and reuse the previous door furniture. Sadly the letter box fitting wasn’t in good condition but so grateful that he did have a spare in his van. Service and quality second to none!!

UPDATE:
Credit where credit’s due, after posting my original review, Solidor got in touch directly to resolve the situation and arranged a replacement door. Within two weeks of contacting them, Ash arrived to fit the new door. I was even given the option to choose a completely different style and colour. While the initial issues were frustrating, Solidor stepped up, took ownership, and delivered excellent customer service to put things right.
Original Review:
I would not recommend Solidor based on my experience.
I had a Solidor front door installed in 2020 and expected a premium composite door to last many years. Instead, the door has developed cracks on multiple occasions and has already been replaced twice because the same problem kept reappearing.
Now, only a couple of years after the last replacement, the door has once again developed significant cracks and splits. For a product marketed as a high-quality, premium door, this is simply unacceptable.
A front door is a long-term investment and should not need replacing repeatedly within such a short period. I expected far better quality, durability and reliability from Solidor.
The company who originally installed the door recently ceased trading.
Unfortunately, my experience has been one of repeated failures and disappointment. I would think very carefully before choosing a Solidor door.

Steve was efficient, friendly and helped out with a minor existing inconvenience - a small piece of trim that wasn't fitting perfectly which he solved for me.
All the usuals you'd expect from a professional. Tidy, polite, on time.

I made a complaint a week ago about poor customer service. And no one has even bothered to contact me to rectify the issue.
Don’t buy a product from Solidor as if it breaks you are on your own. Their warranty is not upheld and quite frankly for the money you spend on the product you get no support.

Door bowing and closers catching
Like another person we have issues with the door (installed in 2023) bowing and therefore difficult to engage closers. Installer was prompt in replacing the door under warranty in 2024 but last year the same thing re-occurred and to his day having to ensure we push the door when entering our property to ensure it fully closes and sits flush but closers catching and problematic like the other installed previously. Not sure whether design or just rogue door but 2 out of 2 have not satsified with the same fault.

Not fit for purpose
Like others mention in these reviews, my Conway grey door has developed cracks in multiple places. The glass on the door started fogging up inside within 5 years, and cracking has appeared all over the front of the door within 7.5 years. Would not expect a door to last for such a small amount of time and would not recommend. I have tried to ask for help but was told 'as we operate solely with trade, we are unable to assist you'. The company that installed the door are not contactable. I have evidence of installation. As far as I can tell, the installation is fine and it's the door itself that is faulty. A front door that can't handle weather doesn't seem fit for purpose.

The door is beautiful and you can feel the quality.
The finish is beautiful and the fittings also look and feel solidly built.
We replaced our 10yr old uPVC door with this and the difference in quality is amazing...no rattles or squeaks or flimsy plaatic trims and the fact the cill is a lot lower is a bonus.
The choice of style, colours and glass was vast but we eventually whittled it down and are exceptionally pleased.
The supplier and fitter was also brilliant and they only fit Solidor now which speaks volumes.

I Had my front door install in April. The quality of the door is very much worth its money. I would recommend to anyone Solidor.
I had my door fitted by a company called Classic Windows Notts. They showed me the Solidor brochure and instantly can see the quality of the doors. No hesitation I went ahead with Solidor.
